Who would have not known Ichiran and it was a must eat to everyone whom travels to Japan. Really nice and simple bowl of goodness with springy noodles with thick and rich soup. No wow factor or any other surprise, just simple and nice
I don’t usually opt for chili in my ramen as I always like to first try the original. But going for the ‘half-portion’ red sauce was the right decision to help cut through that rich, creamy and milky Tonkotsu broth! Thought the egg (¥130, S$1.60) was just decent and although the noodles were thinner than the kind I prefer, they were done well springy and smooth! To be very honest, I wouldn’t say I’m that huge of a fan (still worth the moolah) but I can definitely see why it has accumulated such a huge fan base!

That will be my first meal in Japan and MORE RAMEN RECOMMENDATIONS PLEASE!
Still don't like the hakata style thin noodle but the soup is so yummy!!!!
25.09.2016. Many people have said many things about it. I like it, but it won't take the place of my favourite ramen in Tokyo, Ippudo (Roppongi branch). #burpple #ichiranramen #tokyo #shibuya #ramen
Homemade fresh ramen in classic tonkotsu (pork-based) soup with sliced pork and Ichiran’s original red (pepper) sauce. We get to customised the flavour strength, richness (fat content), garlic, green onion, sliced pork, red pepper sauce and noodle texture.
After a few tries, I preferred the Strong flavour strength with firm noodles 》¥910
