This vibrant salad offers tender chicken, silky tofu, and earthy seasoned mountain vegetables, all nestled amidst a crisp, colourful mix of fresh greens. Perfect for a refreshing start to the meal or a guilt-free side that doesn’t skimp on flavour 》$10.90

Crunchy and nicely seasoned jellyfish 》$6.50

This bowl is all about seared sashimi goodness with salmon, tuna, swordfish, and yellowtail β€” each bringing its own unique texture and flavour.

Then there’s the mentaiko mayo, torched to smoky, creamy perfection, tying everything together with a rich umami kick. The seafood-to-rice ratio is just right, making every bite satisfying without overpowering. Toss in some tobiko for extra pops of briny goodness, crunchy cucumber for balance, and a slice of tamago to a well-rounded bowl 》$19.90

Pleasantly surprised by the freshness of the salmon sashimi slices in this salmon sashimi don. Salmon sashimi slices were of the right thickness for the don, and had a nice sweetness to it. The rice and sashimi combination was served with chilli padi and a dash of sesame oil, which I thought was pretty odd for a Japanese restaurant but I somehow appreciated the hint of spice within and the added layer of flavour the sesame oil gave. Personally, I thought that the portion size, freshness and restaurant sizing made this relatively affordable. They even have miso soup as an included side! Would recommend this if you’re craving a salmon sashimi don.

There were little chunks of raw salmon, tuna and white fish on top of the lightly tangy rice. There is also a scattering of salmon roe and cucumber which added some texture to the bite.

The fish is marinated in shoyu, which is supposed to impart umami. Less Japanese soya sauce would be preferable to better appreciate the flavour of the fish.

The ratio of fish to rice was less than satisfying although as far as convenient chirashi bowls go, this is pretty good.
