Available in sets of 9 items ($8.80), 12 items ($9.80), 15 items ($10.50). I went for 12, which included Yunnan rice noodles, raw quail eggs, chives, beancurd thread, dried shrimp, fried meat, spring onion, fish, dou miao, Sze Chuan vegetable, mushrooms, fried peanuts, luncheon meat.
It’s an interesting experience, as the ingredients all come to the table separately, and you add them all in the broth before you tuck in. The staff did ask if I’d like them to put everything together in the kitchen before serving, but I opted to DIY.
Broth is made with duck, pork & chicken, and is really flavorful. I loved the peanuts in the soup! All in all a satisfying, comforting, slurpy bowl of noodles I’ll definitely be back for.

Yunnan’s Cross Bridge Vermicelli has over 100 years of history when the wife of a scholar brought food to her husband by crossing a bridge everyday. The layer of oil on top of the chicken broth kept the food warm and the various ingredients added makes the dish nutritious. Read about the beautiful story behind the dish at www.hungryghost.sg

Noodles similar to yu mian but atad more springy. Broth was actually light but not spicy even though it had that fiery look. Corn on the cob added alittle sweetness. Beef was chunky. Not very tender though. Still it was tasty.

My noodle place to go if I am nearby.

My big bowl of steaming hot broth lying in wait for me to dunk all ingredients... 15 to be exact (noodles included). Too many that it was a challenge trying to fit all in. Just throw all in. Twirl, swirl, toss and turn. Let all the components embrace each other, the flavors seep into the broth. This to me is a big simple bowl of soothing comfort food.

My go to place when I have nowhere to go.

any kind of soup.
I walked two rounds of the basement before deciding on this place that is almost hidden.

What caught my eye was the large red bowl. Signature dish called "xiu cai mi xian" which is yunnan thread noodles with 9 ingredients. It is presented on a large red tray. The soup comes in a large red bowl. In a smaller bowl contains the noodles. And in nine mini bowls are the 9 ingredients. Fried meat, dried shrimps, spring onions, 2 raw quail eggs, raw fish, doumiao, szechuan vege, beancurd strips and chives. Soup is boiling hot so you have to DIY. Throw the raw stuff in first followed by the rest. Mix mix mix and ready to eat. Soup was rich, almost creamy like and very flavorful. Quite a umami pork boney finish.

So yeah, my angry tummy is happy with my fiery red hot soup. Ang kong kong (bright red) for good luck too!
