Tasty gravy, good variety. It's just celery I don't eat haha. Unfortunately, I may not revisit because I saw the ah gong cook do something unhygienic.
I think that's the name, but it's just the typical Chinese all-in soup, where you get random ingredients. Their pork is really bad as mentioned previously. But worst of all, this soup was like water. You can tell the lack of effort haha. Unfortunately, I may not revisit because I saw the ah gong cook do something unhygienic.
Lovely noodles, but sibei salty. Confirmed exceeded salt by accident. Their prawns were nice but the pork wasn't worth eating. Unfortunately, I may not revisit because I saw the ah gong cook do something unhygienic.
I took this on myself and the nice ah ma gave me a discount. It's not just pork and peas, there's potato too, just like the origins of this dish. The version here was not perfect but it's competent lah. Unfortunately, I may not revisit because I saw the ah gong cook do something unhygienic.
(Clockwise from top left) Fried egg, baby kailan, fried rice, Hainanese pork chop. I love old-school, hawker-centre zichar.
Hock Sin kee
Stall 01 - 02
I have tried pork chops from practically most Hainanese food shops / restaurants and I must say Hock Sin Kee does it the best and the standard is always consistent .
The balance of the sweet and sourish tinge from the tomato sauce and the lean pork chops that are fried to perfection makes this dish a winner .
The pork chops are so tender , seasoned well and so fresh and crisp even under the blanket of the delicious tomato sauce.
Accompanied with thin slices of potatoes and lots of hearty onions and green peas - all you need is some rice to make an extremely satisfying meal .
