Spaghetti with Battered Chicken and Laksa Sauce ($9.90) is a @griddysg fusion dish. Flavoured with less spices, it less like your usual laksa sauce. Instead, it's slightly sweet and spicy. Freckled with curry leaves, the creamy has stronger notes of coconut. Battered chicken is a breaded crisp that breaks open to tender, succulent meat. Laksa sauce on it is what makes it the highlight to savour.

This Salted Egg Yolk and Caramel ($8.50) makes me greedy for Griddy.

Douse a shot of salted egg yolk sauce over your pan of waffle gelato and vanilla love letter. Already, you're drunk on its aroma. (Funnily, the shot of sauce doesn't taste like salted egg yolk on its own!) Pull apart a bite of toasty thick waffle, and the dribble of yellow mixes with brown caramel sauce. Mop that up and take a pinch from your vanilla scoop. It's an outer crunch into a fluffy, buttery piece. Relish the slightly salty combining with thick, caramelised goo and a touch of cold gelato. A creamy concoction perfecting savoury and sweet this makes.

Spaghetti with Grilled Chicken and Salted Egg Yolk sauce ($9.90) you've got to try for the love of SEY. Tantalising effusion of rich salted egg yolk sauce has you salivating as you eagerly pull up a forkful of steaming al dente spaghetti. You can't help but relish this as you stifle a moan. Savoury satisfaction is the mildly grainy gravy, fusing with the strong aroma from copious chopped garlic β which I thought could do better with less. Pull in a piece of the generous grilled chicken thigh and it's a bite into juicy tenderness, a balancing taste of spice marinade. I scraped my plate clean. Griddy just has me greedy.

Even though Griddy offers Set Lunches, I am so happy to have ordered this pasta (S$9.90). It's an affordable plate of food, taking into consideration that the portion is huge and the taste is really above average. The salted egg yolk sauce was creamy, but at the same time not overpowering. And that grilled chicken thigh was nicely done, yet maintaining the juiciness.
Perhaps because of the location of this eatery (it's at the Basement 2 of Westgate which is at Isetan side), it will be difficult to access if you are not familiar with the place. Thanks, Griddy!
The salted egg sauce is taste and goes well with both the chicken and spaghetti. It even has a spicy kick to it too!
Interesting mix of asian Laksa sauce and western spaghetti. Although...it doesn't quite taste like the usual Laksa sauce. Something spicy yes, perhaps something coconut-y as well...maybe it just needs more curry leaves for the aroma of laksa sauce to be more presentπ€.
For $9.90 a plate though, i think it is pretty decent, be it taste or serving portion. The staff are always friendly and polite tooππ»
