Heard many people raving about this place. Queue at peak hours are more than an hour wait. The Xiao Wan Mian ($7) was quite generous in its portions and ingredients, with quite abit of pork slices and minced meat in the soup. Noodles were bouncy, with an old school vinegary kick, but kinda lacked an umami flavour from the chilli. Soup was definitely rich with meaty pork flavour. Very decent but not worth the 1+ hour wait though.
japanese vibes, in a cosy corner of centrepoint which was not overly crowded. free miso soup for everyone. staff were friendly and helpful. they took photos for us, kept a birthday cake and lit the candle up for us. stayed for 2 hours. staff were attentive and refilled the drinks for us.
We have been coming here since its opening over 20 years ago. The offerings are very good, ample and original (eg. puffer fish, cartilage, heart, etc). At this recent visit, we noticed that service is much less proactive, and prices have skyrocketed to an exorbitant $75 per pax. Sigh.

Warming up with a dish full of collagen goodness! There’s nothing quite like slow-cooked trotter with its rich, jelly-like skin, hearty chunks of meat and more nuanced flavours. Paired perfectly with a nourishing, full-bodied soup 🥣 and a bowl of fragrant olive rice 🫒🍚.

Reasonable price and food taste ok
Super crowded on a weekend lunch. We ordered their dry chilli pan mee and toast set. The noodled were cooked al dente and in KL style. They were generous with the kaya and butter. But i would suggest to eat while it's hot. Otherwise, the bread is not nice. I would eat if i was in the area but would not come down specially for it.
How to know if a braised duck stall is good
1. the long queue. ✔️ checked
2. the number of ducks on display ✔️ checked
(counted 50 whole ducks, with excess at the back of kitchen)
3. 90% of all tables has braised duck ✔️ checked
soup was flavourful, peppery & herbally. damn good
The duck was tender, even it's breast meat slices were somewhat tender, The drumstick was damn good as well.
The braised pork belly was tender & fatty
The gravy that was used to bathe the meats were flavourful as well.
chill here is the sour & watery type. no dry chilli here
