Power up with a flat white and a sausage, cheddar and egg wrap!
The coffee is good, aromatic. Pair it off with a wrap. The wrap was a little cold though they did warm it up. It could be warmer.
It will be a plus if it is freshly made upon order. But do understand its more of a grab and go item. Unless those dining in they make it fresh. Overall, i enjoyed it.
Likes its morning ambience here. Relaxing, not to be bothered by the people even when alone. Service was prompt. Staff were friendly. When i ordered for flat white, the cashier didn't heard it but the other staff heard it and immediately went to act on it before the order is input to the system. Upon seated, my coffee came. That's very nice.
A place to go on a weekend morning alone when I'm around the vicinity.
Popped into Chijmes during the day time.
An Egg Benny and Latte to start my day rolling.
I'm glad i get to choose between Ham or Bacon for my egg benny. 1 egg was done to perfection, the other was overcooked. But it doesn't matter. Sitting at the bar seat, looking at the water feature, greenery and soothing music playing sums up the ambience is relaxing and cosy.
Will always be back for some good quiet me time.
A wholesome and hearty breakfast that is sure to fill you up. Their bread was like some sort of flatbread that was toasted and crispy. Really like their sautéed mushrooms, which weren't like wet or soggy. Their eggs were a little overcooked in my opinion, but still quite soft and tasty. Overall it's ok, but for $17 you could probably get the same quality/amount somewhere else probably at a cheaper price given that there are so many cafes around.
Have some thick cut truffle steak fries and just look forward to the weekend. Not truffle-y enough for me. Sharing portion.
Blue cheese is a taste I am still struggling to acquire. However when cooked in this omelette, it was surprisingly palatable. Could it have been the New Zealand brand of blue cheese used? Hmmm, I am not sure but for once, the strong smell that is usually a turn-off for me, was within acceptable limits here.
What a letdown. The sausages were spicy but had a rather strong smell that didn't sit well with me. Secondly, the eggs in the toast were blah. I understand this is the Aussie style of "toad in the hole" but with big circles of bread cut out to make room for the eggs, it kind of exacerbated my notion of it being not worth the price.
