Daun Pandan Rice Dumpling (Junction 8)

One of my favourite childhood eats at pasar malam, these 嘟嘟糕 (kueh TUTU) are definitely a great light snack to have! ❤❤❤

Daun Pandan ($3.20 for 5) at Bishan Junction 8 does it right with perfectly soft & fluffy rice flour that isnt too thick, dry nor sticky. 👌🏻 Beneath that pearly white steamed cake is an abundance of sugary ground peanuts 🥜 that were neither too coarse nor fine - of the right texture & sweetness! 😋

I took all peanut as I like it. The filling is substantial, the flour is slightly thick but I like it because it doesnt become sticky or wet after it has cooled. Always return for more!

A sweet note to those who look for vegetarian snacks. This handmade snack made with rice flour & various fillings (we pick coconut this time)are good to go. We try Kueh Tutu in many places and though this is not the best we try, it’s a perk me up for Thursday! 🥳
