Plump wontons with a satisfying bite, can definitely taste the prawn
The sauce was not spicy enough for me (next time can add chili)
But for the price, I don’t think I will be coming back to this dish often
From the first sip of soup, it gives me a good reminiscent of Cantonese Soup from Hong Kong Noodles Char Chan Teng, clear, simple and flavourful.
The ingredients in the dumplings are different compared to the usual ones we had. Besides the usual pork and shrimp meat, the black fungus strips and bamboo shoots gave the dumplings a unique texture. The size of the dumplings is no doubt bigger and more filling than those in the Wantons.
One of my favourite stalls in this coffeeshop. Chef Kin Hk Wanton Noodle has sprung up a few outlets islandwide, and I am so glad there’s a few in the west! These Hong Kong styled dumplings are made plump, generously wrapping pork, prawns, black fungus and water chestnut within, for a fresh and crunch taste. It’s a comforting soup that I would crave for on rainy days, except that it’s a tad too salty although the umaminess was right. Limited items on the menu including beef brisket noodles. Don’t expect to see char siew in the wanton noodles served here.
Blanched lettuce is basically a thin soy sauce.
Beef brisket is textbook. Super tender and very flavourful. Noodles were nice too, there's no alkaline taste.
Unfortunately their sambal, while complex and deep in flavours, gets completely overwhelmed in the dried noodles. It goes well w the brisket alone, as well as presumably better lighter soup.
Decent soup, the dumplings have a lot of shrimp and are good but doesn't match up to CP. CP is ridiculously good for frozen food
Dumplings were big and nicely crunchy with a well seasoned filling, but pity that the noodles and soup didn’t fare as well for us. The noodles are more thin with quite a strong alkaline taste, and lacked a bite to it. Soup had a nice flavour but was a little too salty on its own.
