This plated dessert consists of a breaded and deep-fried camembert cheese served with Hokkaido milk vanilla ice-cream. Topped off with some dried strawberry crumbles and a drizzle of honey, all the elements complemented well with each other and the resulting medley of flavours and textures made this simply deliciously indulgent.
Definitely not your usual cheesy and creamy traditional mac & cheese. It takes on an Asian spin with some savouriness and subtle heat to it. The cheese, spice and added textures from the Japanese bread crumbs and scallions made this fusion dish irresistibly full-flavoured and delicious. Easily making its way into my top list.
A favourite for most, we had the in-house made Truffle Brie with Honeycomb ($28). The brie was laced in the middle with decadent black truffle and was expectantly creamy, earthy and mildly salty. A great partner with the luscious cheese was the sweet honeycomb that perfectly complemented the saltiness and earthiness of the cheese. To pair with this harmonious combination, we added on crackers ($5) and a bottle of rose wine. The Not Your Grandma's rose ($68) was easy on the palette and light-bodied with subtle sweetness. Its crisp acidity and fruitness worked well with the brie.
thoroughly enjoyed this as a person who doesn’t know much about cheeses! love the truffle cheese, gouda, and nougat especially
Reserve is more aged than the normal Tete De Moine
It's got more flavour too. The flavour was decent but it's very dry, terrible on its own. It goes well with sth which can provide moisture, like salad or in soup I guess. I had it with whipped cream and it's not bad
Take note this place only sells UK and French cheeses
