the flavour of the soup and texture of the noodle was alright. ikan bilis was crispy and minced meat was flavourful. it was an interesting twist to add in chye poh in the dish. bonus points for using mani cai over other veggies though. the green chilli was also an interesting twist and gave the dish a quirky kick. however, I wouldn't wait over an hour for this bowl of you mian again. the wait was too long and I personally felt that it was not worth the long wait.

Their handmade mee hoon kueh is thinner than most I’ve tried - theirs resembled ravioli sheets. They were soft and slippery, but still retained a bite; great texture! They also use mani cai, which has natural sweetness. The ikan bilis is crisp and salty, and the meatball well seasoned and tender! Soup was light but savoury, it was pretty good! Theirs is less robust than China Whampoa’s soup, but I still enjoyed it :)

Noodles were great as they were springy and slightly soft yet has a bite. Sambal was more full on fiery than umami, and the seemingly Small amount actl sufficed. Black sauce was good too and their Minced Meat was fatty so it was rlly tender.

Soup veggie didnt have the best texture but it more than made up for it in the flavour imbued into the umami soup

Green sauce was bright, slightly sour, palpably bitter which worked rather well and hella fragrant when mixed into the hot Noodles. Somehow the bite doesnt come when eating it on its own but i almost teared when i had my first bite of the green chili mixed in

All the little things they do uniquely, incl the chye Poh, made this one of the best Banmian I've ever had

Saw a steady stream of patrons buying ban mian from this stall at Serangoon Gardens Market, and decided to give it a try. It really didn’t disappoint! I really loved the chilli (they gave a small portion but it packed sufficient punch for a chilli lover like me), and the noodles were handmade and wonderfully bouncy. The soup with egg white mixed into it was a wonderful touch too!

Ordered the dry u-mian ($4). Noodles were cooked well, ingredients were decent (the addition of cai poh was interesting), separate bowl of soup which had spinach and egg was not bad. The dish had a bit too much black sauce though. Decent bowl, would eat again if nearby!
