an overall decent bowl of you mian suited for a quick lunch amidst the bustling peak lunch crowd.

better than I had expected from stall! soup was sweet and flavourful from its base, with flavours contributed by the vegetables, minced meat, fried shallots and ikan billis. the texture of the noodle was just right and qq. minced meat was flavourful and wonderfully seasoned. overall, a good bowl of you mian and it is one where I would come down to have it again.

love the abundance of minced meat and mani cai for both versions! and be warned, the chilli packs a punch but it is so shiok. the texture of the noodles was qq however I find the soup just alright. the minced meat though, was well seasoned and the flavours were robust. overall, a decent bowl of ban mian to try if you are in the area.

wow it was spicy. the chilli packs a punch. the minced meat seemed to be fried (can taste a bit of the fried taste) and the ikan bilis was crunchy enough. texture of ban mian was just alright, neither too hard or soft. the sauce was alright, expect a sweet and savoury dark soy sauce. I would like it better if they give more vegetables and ikan bilis though. but the star (irony as the dry chilli ban mee is the star) was the soup. I would come back one day just to try the soup noodles but will not go for the dry chilli ban mee again.

soup taste earthy with the essence of mushrooms and mani cai. noodles was quite qq and the meat has its natural sweetness to it. the chilli packs a punch. I feel that more meat could be given because the amount is quite little. overall, still a decent bowl of you mian.

you mian (soup) was not bad though the fried garlic was a bit too overempowering. noodles could be more qq. I like the use of spinach for the vegetables and the meat and egg was nice as well.

fish cutlet dry chilli pan mee was not bad too. ikan bilis was crispy and the chilli packs a punch. noodles was quite qq. the fish cutlet was not bad, it reminded me of the dory fillet used in fish and chips in coffeeshop western stalls.

the flavour of the soup and texture of the noodle was alright. ikan bilis was crispy and minced meat was flavourful. it was an interesting twist to add in chye poh in the dish. bonus points for using mani cai over other veggies though. the green chilli was also an interesting twist and gave the dish a quirky kick. however, I wouldn't wait over an hour for this bowl of you mian again. the wait was too long and I personally felt that it was not worth the long wait.

the soup was sweet-tasting and pleasant on the palate. not a fan of the noodle though, the texture feels factory-made instead of homemade as it was less qq than I wished it would be (feels more starchy!). the minced meat was well-marinated though, I liked the taste. overall, it's not bad but I wouldn't take the time just to come down and have this bowl of you mian again.

soup was sweet and savoury and the noodles was qq, I love it. plus points for using mani cai as the veggies. however, I do think the seasoning for the minced pork could be more flavourful. overall, it was quite a nice bowl of you mian.

the sauce is on the sweeter side rather than spicy. the soup and texture of mee hoon kuay is normal. the ikan bilis was nice though. overall, will not try again.

overall a decent bowl of you mian filled with abundant portion of minced pork and sliced pork, all well-seasoned. bonus for the choice of vegetable being spinach.

a unique bowl of ban mian, loaded with spinach, pork slices, pork ball and minced pork! the soup was pretty alright with a hint of wokhey to it. the noodles were qq and nice to bite. overall, a decent bowl of ban mian.
bonus: the chilli sauce is great!

you mian & iced coffee enthusiast with lacklustre reviews, oops
