$1.30
Yes, just $1.30 for this egg prata! Ali Fatimah has been a frequent spot for me during my secondary school days as we came here for breakfast before school started on some days (yes prata at 6am! 😂)
I would say the prata is pretty average, and leans more to the soft than crispy side which I don't mind. The curry's alright as well, but could use a bit more spice!
The store owners are super nice as well, and one of the main reasons why we keep going back for more (fun fact! the owner was on a toothpaste advertisement before!!)
PRICE: Plain prata $0.80, Egg prata $1.40
WAITING TIME: 25 min on a Saturday morning (we've never seen a longer queue for pratas at a hawker centre)
REMARKS: Egg prata was good. Egg is thinly spread across the entire prata so you can taste it in every bite. Not the crispy kind like Casuarina's.
Mutton would be the usual choice for Murtabak at Fatimah Muslim Food Stall.
The serving comes in one size, stuffed with ground mutton and it would definitely turned out tasty if you dip it with their curry. This is much better than their normal egg and kosong prata.
The long queue at this stall is testament to the quality served here, simple, no-frills prata that satisfies. Interestingly, the prata dough used here is commercially made and bought, but somehow, the pratas here are flipped thin and fried to crisp perfection, and somehow it's not oily! The curries here are good too, opt for a nice hunk of mutton curry if you're feeling hungry. They sell out fast, so be there early. Photo by Alain Foodology
Awesome Roti Prata that's worth the wait. The plain prata is so light, airy, fluffy, and yet so crispy till cannot.
