I love the curry here as it is rich and coconutty, but the meagre pieces of fish was absolutely unacceptable to me. I felt really ripped off on this. ๐
Their specialty beancurd is really something! Everything about it defies expectation of what beancurd should be. Inside the crisp exterior is a firm, chunky mix of (presumably) beancurd, chestnuts and possibly something else.... It was crunchy and reminded me of the water chestnut cake I like at wu xiang stalls. Interesting, but I would not call it beancurd. ๐
This was quite ordinary, and unfortunately did not have the spicy kick that I like from my sambal kang kong.
Not on the menu, but they did it for us! The salted egg sauce is a bit on the sweeter side, but had a wonderful consistency that could be mopped up with rice. The chunks of chicken were a little small, and even though they made up for it with a generous serving, I would have preferred a heftier bite.
