wow it was spicy. the chilli packs a punch. the minced meat seemed to be fried (can taste a bit of the fried taste) and the ikan bilis was crunchy enough. texture of ban mian was just alright, neither too hard or soft. the sauce was alright, expect a sweet and savoury dark soy sauce. I would like it better if they give more vegetables and ikan bilis though. but the star (irony as the dry chilli ban mee is the star) was the soup. I would come back one day just to try the soup noodles but will not go for the dry chilli ban mee again.
soup taste earthy with the essence of mushrooms and mani cai. noodles was quite qq and the meat has its natural sweetness to it. the chilli packs a punch. I feel that more meat could be given because the amount is quite little. overall, still a decent bowl of you mian.
you mian (soup) was not bad though the fried garlic was a bit too overempowering. noodles could be more qq. I like the use of spinach for the vegetables and the meat and egg was nice as well.
fish cutlet dry chilli pan mee was not bad too. ikan bilis was crispy and the chilli packs a punch. noodles was quite qq. the fish cutlet was not bad, it reminded me of the dory fillet used in fish and chips in coffeeshop western stalls.
