I ordered this cos I was curious by the description on the menu. It said it was served with cabbage and lemon(??!). I don't like bean sprouts so this was the awesome alternative for myself. And i gamely squeezed the lemon slice thoroughly into my laksa broth. It was surprisingly good! Spicy and slightly tangy. I like!

This is saltier than the Black Truffle Ramen and it got a bit jelat for me after a while. But i was really intrigued (& amused!) by the dinosaur chicken. Hidden inside the giant was a 'ramen egg'. Complete with soft ooze-y yolk! Like wow😍

I was a little sad when my ramen arrived. Cos i felt the black truffle look so pathetic. But. It turned out really good! That little dollop was seriously sufficient to give the whole bowl of soup a distinct truffle taste/smell. Generous portion of chicken slices & meat balls. Very flavourful broth. Really love this! We had the chicken cutlet, fried fish & sambal sotong set. Price ranging $4.50-$6.00 per plate(comes with a fried egg & vegetables). I like it cos I like my rice with lots of gravy👍🏼

Impressed with the interior of the place which reflected a rustic nautical theme. Sis & the Bff had the waffles which i stole bites of and it was buttery and crisp on the outside & all warm and fluffy on the inside. What captured my heart was my scoop of Rocher ice cream(hazelnut and choco). I love it & I'm not even an 'ice cream kinda person'.

The portobello hidden in the burger under the sunny side up was anything but mega. It was the size of a shitake at most :( taste wise was alright but not something i will travel for and i only stay at jurong east. The major put off however was the terrible ventilation. The grease and oil smell was so strong it lingered in our hair and on our clothes throughout the entire day. It got so bad our eyes were smarting and teary & my friend got up to open the door in hope of some fresh air. 😷😷😷ugh.

Sis had this and i wished i had too haha. She customised it at the highest spice level and it was shioks! The angel hair pasta made the dish light and savoury.

I like that the sauce was sufficient to mix thoroughly with the spaghetti. But halfway through i felt it was too creamy and 'jelak'. They were generous with the chicken chunks though.

Chinatown (along New Bridge Rd, after Mosque St) -- the 辣子鸡 was seriously addictive. First time eating at an authentic China-food place. The menu was super extensive and it's better to come in groups to be able to order a bigger variety. Our table of 2 ordered the 辣子鸡, spicy eggplant & stir fried vegetable with pork shreds. The vegetable dishes were greasy but full-flavoured and goes very well with white rice. Wanted to order the the bbq items but they said minimum order of 2 sticks per item. So we only ordered mushroom and quail eggs(not pictured). It was nicely bbq-ed and they brushed some chilli powder thing on which was fragrant and not too spicy. Overall a different experience from the usual zi char; will definitely be back again try other dishes!

I chose the salted egg chicken bao & the bbq pulled pork bao. The pulled pork was not as tender as i expected and it had a slightly "herb-y" aftertaste. The salted egg bao was 💣💣💣! Crispy chicken meat & thick sandy texture of the salted egg sauce went so well with the soft bao. Finished my meal with the refreshing pink lemonade. One of the best meal combi👍🏼.

Not my order plus I cant eat beef. But i sneaked a bite of the rice which was thoroughly well mixed with the gravy from the beef and the soft boiled egg. Soggy ; but just the way I love my rice actually👍🏼
