We saw a lot of people ordering the Rosti with Smoked Bratwurst ($19). No doubt, the rosti were cooked well with a nice crispy exterior and it was not very oily. 🥔
However, we wouldn't say it was overwhelming and we would likely skip it for other brekkie items on the menu.
The Sea Salt Caramel Latte ($6.50) was quite enjoyable though - the sea salt lends a nice touch to balance the soft sweetness of the caramel. ☕

We were recommended the Li Xin Teochew Fishball Noodles at Ion Orchard's foodcourt and ordered both the soup and dry version.
The fishballs are very good! They had a nice bounce and firmness to it, with plenty of fish flavours. 😋
The fish dumplings were equally good. The skin were smooth and flavourful - having being kneaded and rolled into paper-thin consistency from yellowtail fish as well. The minced pork fillings were yummeh too.
Between the soup and dry noodles ($6.90 each) - we prefer the latter with mee pok (flat noodles). The sauce is a mix of chilli, ketchup, oil and vinegar - yielding perfectly sweet, savoury, spicy flavours. The mee pok is served al dente.
The soup version is on the lighter side if you prefer it that way.

For white coffee, the Filipino 🇵🇭 Kalsada Siti Belis beans ($4.50) was perfectly creamy with caramel notes.
This is our favourite coffee stop during our trip here - a must try if you are in the Jalan Besar area.

We loved the open space, natural light and Scandi furniture here. A long white bar features prominently which allow patrons to chat/watch the baristas in action.
Pour-over coffee is the main feature, but the hot chocolate 🍫☕here is excellent too!
The Indonesian 🇮🇩 Burung ($7.50) had a lovely lush mouthfeel - with the perfect balance of berry sourness and nuttiness 🌰. So good, that we wished it would last longer.

The Ebiko Prawn Paste ($13.50) turns out to be mala-flavoured (Szechuan peppers 🌶️🌶️🌶️) dry noodles tossed with chilli vinaigrette. Not really for us - noodles portion was huge but the mala was too overpowering after awhile. The side dish of braised tofu in tonkotsu broth was nice and warm.

Walao, this is like Ipoh kuey teow soup on steroids! 🍜🦐🦐🦐💪💪
We could smell the shrimp broth as soon as we walked in.
We ordered the Le Signature Trio 🍤🍤🍤 Shrimp Broth Ramen ($19.90). It was so yums! Imagine Ipoh kuey teow but with an even more concentrated shrimp taste and the consistency of tonkotsu broth.
It was so full of prawn-y goodness and umami that we finished it to the last drop. It seems that the broth was cooked with fresh sea prawns, pork bones 🍖and Chinese spices.
We opted for the Chinese la mien - which had the perfect al dente bite. 🍜 The trio consisted of a pair of fresh, succulent prawns; silky smooth prawn dumplings and ebiko prawn paste. The portion was really good for the price.

Imagine a non-spicy KFC Zinger burger patty with similar crispy batter - except it's more juicy and bigger. It can get a bit jelak after awhile but fried chicky lovers would definitely love it. 🐔❤️

I can't believe it's not meat! Impossibru! 😲😱😮
We checked out Park Bench Deli to try out the Impossible Patty Melt ($22) - Impossible patty with griddled onions, cheddar, dill pickles with special sauce in between slices of rye bread.
The verdict? The resemblance of the patty in terms of looks and texture to real beef is uncanny! If you didn't tell me it's not beef, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. It has the pinkness in the middle, and the chew and bite really resemble the real deal!
The only giveaway is the lack of beefy taste at the end. But otherwise, I actually don't mind it at all. The sandwich itself is really yummy - gooey cheese with nice crusty warm bread. Yummy!

We like the cool vibes at Momo's, the newest and hippest hotel on Jalan Chow Kit. 😎☕🧡
Espresso-based coffee is served here too throughout the day and night.

Little Pig offers great Spanish tapas with an Asian twist. 🇪🇸🇨🇳
We enjoyed the Crispy Pork Belly Eel Bao (RM34). The Spanish Duroc pork belly was crispy, and eel was lightly grilled. We loved that the homemade bao was really soft with some nice browning on the top. The egg yolk gel was a nice touch, as well as being served in a dim sum bamboo basket.

Not to be confused with Mexican tortillas 🌯, the Spanish version is actually a light and fluffy potato omelette 🍳🥔. We opted for the Mediterranean (RM19) - the succulent prawns with baby spinach 🌿 were yummy! Little Pig only uses astaxanthin-enriched OnZen eggs for its tortillas.

Squid Ink Paella (RM40 for 2 pax) successfully marries the porcine and the sea. 🦑🐖
Traditionally known as arroz negro from the Catalan region, this paella offers scrumptious maritime flavours. The rice grains had a lovely nutty bite, with sumptuous briny flavours from the squid ink. There were plenty of squid flesh with each spoon, and we liked the pork belly and clams on top.
