Imagine lunch hour, sitting in air conditioned comfort, chowing down on this magnificent bowl of ramyeon, toppokki, shrimp, clam, black mussel, squid and the best part… it's topped with a layer of melted mozzarella!

Visually, this waffle extravaganza (+S$2++ for the charcoal-infused waffle) is stunning. Bits of sliced fruits, sauce, shaved cheddar, and yogurt, splashed and drizzled and tossed in every imaginable way - very much their rendition of Monet I suppose. Taste-wise it was unfortunately a tad disappointing. Waffle was dense and dry, and the 'gelato' was icey and one-dimensional. I do love the combination of fresh fruits, tangy yogurt and cheddar though, so this'll be great with some improvements.

Definitely one of my favourite cafes! Just look at the generous portion, one of the best lobster rolls I've had at this price point! :)

In love with the mochi donut here!! The crisp cereal and raspberries were a nice touch as well! Only the cookie butter/taro flavours were available when I went, not really the best soft serve I've had but would have loved to try the matcha.

Probably one of my new favourite brunch spots! :) Pretty creative items on the menu like this spring onion pancake topped with fried chicken. Classics like the scrambled eggs were well executed.

The toppings here were pretty simple, old school treats like M&Ms, Kinder Bueno and peanut butter cups, but satisfying nonetheless :)

Drizzled with mayo and teriyaki sauce, each juicy piece of oyster was encased in batter and fried to crispy perfection. Bringing me back to my short school exchange at Hiroshima, the deep fried breaded oysters were a must-have there. Kaki (Japanese for oyster) also being one of the first few words we learned, I came to enjoy them in Japan whereas before I usually avoided them. Still loving Katanashi's lunch set menu, the Fried Oyster is just as satisfying as those I had in Hiroshima.

If I had to nominate a plated dessert that symbolises prettiness, I'd say this would be it. Utterly feminine in looks and flavour, this froufrou creation has a light and crunchy base of rose meringue filled with lychee compote and topped with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream. "Floating" just above is a ooh-worthy cloud of spun sugar.
Lovely as it is, I recommend sharing this. Unless you have a very sweet tooth.

Head over heels in love with Pacamara's new Sticky Date Pancake! The fluffy stacks were spiced and fragrant, salted caramel ice cream was addictive, and ohmyholymama the generous topping of sliced nanas <3 I don't know where the cookie dough went or if there're any dates in this at all; but this worked for me cause that delish more-toffee-than-salted-caramel sauce made everything sticky-date-pudding like.

While its known as a good lunch spot, it is the pure decadence of the dinner menu that makes it perfect for a "Treat Yourself" night. Gather three friends, and expect to get your hands greasy. Be wise and order four things to share. The two must-trys are the heart-stoppingly delicious Patty Melt on Rye ($16), and the delightful Cured Meat Sandwich ($16) — cool, creamy mozzarella atop a stack of assorted cured meats between brioche buns. Dunk the sinfully oozy Grilled Cheese ($14) into the roasted tomato dip and into your mouth — cue inappropriate noises. Finish off with the PB&J ($8) that is crusted in cornflakes then fried. Wash this all down with an ice-cold pint — you'll need it.

Had been here without fail every month for the soft-serve because their flavours change monthly. This month's special is Earl Grey and Matcha flavours; both of which available to order individually or in a combined swirl. Personally felt that the Earl Grey felt a tad strong as it overpowered the bitter aroma of Matcha, while it sat atop slightly crisp and soft waffles that is drizzled with a choice of chocolate or maple syrup. It's always fun coming here because every month's flavours have a theme (this month is all about tea), which makes it all exciting for you never know what's coming up the following month.

They call their Salted Caramel Brioche French Toast ($10) 'some of life’s best things on a single platter'. With impeccably fluffy brioche dusted with icing sugar, served with caramelised bananas, strokes of French cream and lashing of rich salted caramel, we couldn't have said it any better. As Tastemaker Shawn Loh puts it, 'it's as if the meal wants to smother me with pleasure'. Their savoury Gashouse Egg with Bacon Jam ($10) is simple, honest, and hearty, but it truly kicks ass. With a runny egg sitting in the middle of a thick slice of brioche toast, it is blanketed in melted cheese and comes with a side of scrumptious bacon jam. Be sure to bring a friend, just so you can try both.
