Dosirak is a healthy modern take on Korean Bibimbap. Each bowl is under 500 kcal! 😱
My order:
🔸 Main - Beef Bulgogi ($9.90)
🔸 5 Sides - Cabbage, Carrot, Corn, Pickled Cucumber, Kimchi
🔸 Base - Buckwheat Noodle (+ $1)
🔸 Sauce - Apple Cider Gochujang
Love that the options for sides all veggies which guarantees your order to be super healthy! I also like the Apple Cider Gochujang, it has a good balance of acidity and spice ☺️
They usually have promotions on apps like ShopBack and Fave - highly recommend to check those apps before ordering!
Scrambled eggs in a bun sounds good but it’s tough for the wallet at Eggslut :(
Menu prices are misleading as $1.50 top up is needed to change fried egg to scrambled eggs.
Common observation for all buns: they are pretty filling but very very very very oily.
In the picture:
🔸Truffle hashbrowns ($4.50) - Around 6 pieces were given. Truffle smell is very brief, otherwise taste like normal hashbrowns.
🔸 Sausage, egg & cheese sandwich ($12 + $1.50 to change to scrambled eggs) - Sausage is pretty tasty but I wonder why it’s greenish 🤔 Otherwise it tastes like an expensive version of McDonald’s chicken sausage burger with scrambled eggs.
🔸 Bacon, egg & cheese sandwich ($12 + $1.50 for scrambled eggs) - My friends find the bacon nice but again, very overpriced for what is inside.
🔸Cheeseburger single ($13.50) - My friend thought it tastes very normal and he will be better off having Shake Shack across the road.
Maki-san can be a hit or miss depending on how generous (or stingy) the staff is. The serving for this order looks generous and I’m very pleased especially at how thick the salmon sashimi is 😍
My combination includes :
- Soba
- Roasted baby potatoes, kimchi, grilled chicken strips, roasted shimeiji mushroom, tuna mayo
- Almond flakes
- Soba sauce
- Salmon sashimi
Most of the ingredients above are suitable for a salad bowl except maybe the tuna mayo.. Will choose that for sushi next time!
Interesting combination of duck confit and waffle with a side of cabbage slaw and fried egg. The duck has a crispy skin and meat is not too dry. The disappointment lies in the waffle which is almost tasteless if you don’t pair it with the sauce provided. The mustard maple syrup is mind boggling - I expected it to be sweet but it tasted sour like a plum sauce. Overall it’s an interesting concept but doesn’t make much sense when being eaten together.
It’s Phase 2 Heightened Alert which means no dining out. Bought takeaway from Sushiro and chose my own sushi because I didn’t like the default sets 😂
$2.20+ per plate of 2 sushi:
- Salmon belly
- Swordfish
- Salmon with Basil Cheese
- Salmon with Spicy Cheese
$3.20+ per plate:
- Jumbo scallop torched with soy sauce
Total bill is $12.84 after GST
I like that they provided ice pack and the sushi remained fresh when I reach home after 20 mins. The staff at cwp outlet were very friendly and allowed us to sit at one of the booths to fill the takeaway form. Glad to also receive a stamp on the loyalty card for this takeaway, which means we can clock our visits with takeaway too 🤗
This is part of the “Joyous” set menu ($98++ per pax) and is the best item in the menu. The ice shaving is refreshing with the sweetness of pineapple. The champagne jelly is an interesting touch. Even my mom who doesn’t take alcohol enjoyed it and joked if she could ask for more 😁
Booked a staycation at The Fullerton Hotel and decided to give Jade a try using our SGD120 dining credits 😋 The staff recommended for us to choose the Joyous set menu ($98++ per pax) as it’s “worth it” with the Boston Lobster noodles. We thought it’s a good idea but when we were tucking in, our joy turned into dismay as we realised the lobsters served that day were not fresh‼️ The lobster meat was stuck on the shell and not succulent at all. It was very disappointing as we chose the pricier set menu just to try the lobster. Didn’t quite enjoy 2 other dishes in the set too. I think the best dish in this set is the dessert, so here’s a lesson learnt - don’t go there for the mains 😢
Ordered this and more for a group of 8 😁 In this picture:
⭐️Nasi Lemak Chicken Leg Set ($14.80+)
⭐️Nasi Lemak Fish Set ($13.20+)
⭐️Kacang Panjang (Long beans ($6.50+)
⭐️Terung Assam Manis (Eggplants) ($7+)
⭐️Sambal Sotong ($14+)
⭐️Otak-Otak ($10.50+)
The stars of the night are surprisingly not the nasi lemak but the sambal sotong and otak-otak! Despite both being pricey dishes, they are well worth the price. The sambal sotong is well cooked and the otak-otak is of good quality, filled with chunks of fish.
I find the nasi lemak nothing special, rice is not fragrant and the ingredients are common for this price point. The sambal chilli is super tasty but I won’t come back specially for this. The service staff is friendly and the ambience is lovely - perhaps this is what we are paying more for.
Ippudo’s original creamy tonkotsu broth enhanced with miso paste and garlic oil. Personally prefer this to the original broth. Garlic oil enhances the flavour of the soup and makes it more appetising. Do note that the prices in MBS outlet tend to be slightly higher than other outlets.
This comes with ippudo’s original creamy tonkotsu broth which is a safe choice for folks who decide to be not too adventurous 😋 Served hot, this will be a comforting bowl of ramen on any cold day. I think the prices in MBS outlet are higher than other outlets, so one can consider going to other outlets for the same ramen 🤔
Great ambience for dinner but pricey food. Enjoyed this plate of linguine and found the seasoning on point, but the serving is quite small for the price. Given that Dempsey is not a very accessible place, I will not make a trip down specifically to dine here.
This used to be really good when the chain was newly opened but I find the quality not as good now. The fish is bland without the sauce. Fries are cold and limp despite having many patrons that day. Not sure why the fries could not newly made? The only thing I enjoyed was the chilli crab sauce, which I’m glad to pay a premium over the original fish & chips for.
