Royz et Vous is a halal restaurant which is a decent option for dining in. It can get pretty noisy at night. Patrons were raising their voices in their conversations while music was booming in the background. I visited this place during COVID-19 period when dining groups were restricted to 5 pax. Dining time was restricted to 90 mins and the waiters started asking us to clear our table at the 85th minute. Not a good experience to be “chased out” but we wouldn’t want to stay beyond the 90 minutes as the environment was simply too loud and not conducive for conversations.

This dessert is a big miss. Chocolate lava was just slightly oozy and the cake tasted flat. The saving grace was the vanilla ice cream and cookie crumble which gave the dish more texture and flavour. Would not order this again.

Slightly crispy on the outside and well cooked on the inside. Calamari served that day was not too chewy which is a good sign that it’s fresh. Good starter and great for sharing.

This is the Tiramisu ($14.50) and Mango Passionfruit ($15.80) pancakes. The tiramisu pancakes scream coffee but they are not alcoholic, hence it only resembles half of a typical Tiramisu experience. On the other hand, the mango passionfruit pancakes are refreshing and is well balanced between tart and sweetness. For someone who dislikes mango, I found the mango served super fresh and delicious. The pancakes are soft and fluffy, easy to savour (and quickly too!). We had this after a full dinner and we could finish each plate on our own!

Definitely better than the cookies from a certain sandwich chain 😉 The cookies are chewy and made of real chocolate chunks. Indulgent but comes with not a small price tag for a simple 🍪 treat.

Very chill place and perfect for afternoon chats. Great concept of presenting the pastries. It was fun pulling out each drawer to look at the spread of desserts and sandwiches! Photo shows a set for 2 pax. Each high tea set comes with 2 choices of coffee / tea per pax. I picked the White Silk Tea and it’s described aptly as “a tapestry of flavours” 🌈 The coffee was underwhelming, so I will highly recommend to go with tea to complete the pleasant high tea experience ☺️

A small eatery located along a busy stretch of shophouses, one would easily miss this place when walking by. We were looking for a place to have lunch and found this quiet and hidden gem selling delicious Thai food. There was a lunch set promotion of 1 main + 1 drink at only $6.90 nett. I had the pork krapow fried rice and was glad that the sunny side up was done right with flowy egg york 😍 Basil pork was quite spicy but the Thai milk tea helped to cool off the palate. My friend had the Signature Pad Thai and it was tasty too. Give this place a try when you are in Katong!

This is part of the premium pizza series with green tea dough. The green tea flavour is not quite present so it’s not weird at all 🤪 I love how chewy the dough is! It is much better than the kinds sold in the mainstream pizza chains.

This pizza flavour has all the winning ingredients of marinated chicken, chicken ham, broccoli, mushrooms, onions and cherry tomatoes. This could just be my favourite pizza of all time 😋

Chose level 1 spicy and it’s just the right level for me. Crispy skin with addictive sauce. The pickled daikon helps to cool off the heat. This is Korean fried chicken done right!

This shop is located in a quiet neighbourhood in Yishun. It was not crowded when I went with my friend on a Saturday afternoon. Waffle is average, not the best I have tried. Earl grey lavender is my go-to ice cream flavour and it didn’t disappoint. I wouldn’t mind eating this again if I am nearby... I doubt I will specially make a trip down just for this.

Appreciate a warm and comforting bowl of beef pho any day. Soup is light and beef slices are nicely cooked. Homemade lemon is not sweet at all - it is quite sour but very refreshing. This is part of the Burpple Set for 2 at $32 nett, which comes with 2 pho bowls, 2 sides, 2 drinks and 2 desserts. This is super worth it and highly recommended!

This is a simple yet delicate dessert. Pudding is covered in caramel sauce with a tinge of coffee flavour. The bitterness of coffee balances out the sweet caramel taste, making the dessert not too sweet.

The is part of the Burpple set for 2 which comes with 2 pho bowls, 2 sides, 2 drinks and 2 desserts. We picked different sides (Mama’s lucky meatballs and fried spring rolls) to try and both are good! The dipping sauce is tasty as well.
