I loved the carbobara sauce, which despite seeming not present in large amount, but was sufficiently thick and creamy, clinging well to every strand of the spaghetti which was cooked till perfectly al dente. However, the slices of smoked salmon didn't taste too fresh and i think an onsen egg would have gone better with the dish than a sunny side up? 😅
On their sides menu, but i would totally order this as my main. The mac n cheese is light and not jelat at all. Only downside was that the macaroni felt abit "nua" and not that well cooked
The Sudachi Soba is a treat for the both the eyes and tastebuds. New on the menu, this is a truly refreshing dish thats perfect for a hot day.
The soup is tangy and refreshing, being soaked up perfectly by the noodles to give you a zesty kick in every mouthful. You can ramp up the sourness of the broth to your liking by poking at the lime slices, upon which a cute little bunny made out of radish sits🐰🐰🐰 .
My favourite from the desserts we tried! A little on the sweet side but still manageable when shared.
The vanilla bean ice cream combined with a dose of salted miso sauce reminded one of salted caramel, with a comforting malty flavour. Something i would definitely order again!
Didn't taste any hint of whiskey, but this pecan pie was certainly a enjoyable one, though some would pick at its rather mushy pie exterior, but i was fine with that. The pie itself was already a tad sweet so i didn't think that all the cream was needed 😅
Tried the lemon one previously and this time got the avocado and beetroot ones because i was curious if their flavour.
I must say that my favourite still remains to be the lemon one! The flavours for these two were milder. The beetroot one really had no flavour (besides from being a cheesecake) and the avocado one fared abit better though still mild.
Went for the osmanthus oolong + fresh milk instead of my usual dong ding. The osmanthus fragrance is really strong and pleasant, and the taste of freshly brewed tea lingers pleasantly as always
I went for the pre-fixed Yuzu which came with Yuzu mochi skin, cheese mousse, yuzu honey and mixed berries.
Mochi skin wasn't of optimal springy texture, and I felt that the Yuzu flavour was coming more from the Yuzu honey filling which was far too sweet btw🤭 Interesting concept but disappointing experience😟 .
I have actually never tried Godiva's ice cream before. Their Oolong Tea Softserve was really tempting so i threw my $9 and went for it but it was quite underwhelming.. It was a great dessert, luxuriously smooth and carried a nice, caramel-y and milky flavour. But thats exactly where the disappointment sets in because the Oolong was soo mild :(
Cutting into the crisp flakey outer layers of the pastry reveals a core of thick, gooey mao shan wang durian puree assuring you that you're getting the real thing. Didn't really taste much of the burnt cheese, but that was one detail that didn't bother me because all I really needed was the durian, really 😅 .
.
These Durian Cheese Tart was so goooddd! A little expensive but worth it la. Great that it was more Durian than cheese. The staff assured me that cheese was just a small factor of the ingredients used haha. They use actual Mao Shan Wang durian flesh in the tart 😋 The tart pastry was also sinfully yumz- crumbly and buttery👍🏻 Only thing is you definitely need to drink alot of water after this because its super "heaty"😅 .
A tad on the sweeter side especially towards the end because all the brown sugar syrup is concentrated there and after a few mouths i could feel the richness getting to me already so i'd reckon this would be better for sharing.
If you're a brown sugar fresh milk fan and can take the sweetness you'd definitely like this though. Tastes really like the drink itself but in ice cream form.
