The pulled pork burrito, accompanied by Mexican rice, black bean, cheese and sour cream has layers of flavor coming through. However it can be more intense. Relatively light which is unusual for a burrito, it gets better with the hot sauces which were relatively mild as well.

Newly opened at the foodcourt of United Square, this is a wonderful bowl of fishball noodles. Ordered the fish dumplings with dried mee pok ($5.50), which is heavily seasoned in tomato ketchup. The star here is definitely the fish dumplings which is handmade as you can feel the springiness in your mouth. If you feel peckish, go for the $7.50 portion to enjoy fishball, fishcake, fish dumplings and fish roll. Overall, a good bowl of fishball noodles.

Ordered the Wanton Noodle via Grab Food and was pleasantly surprised! Located in Jalan Besar where there are many famous wanton noodles stalls, this little known wanton noodle stall has some decent quality to boot.
The noodles were springy though a little alkaline, it retains its firmness despite it being a takeaway. There were also ample dark sauce to coat every strand. It was savory yet not overpowering. Ingredients were aplenty, 2-3 fried wanton morsel and 3 boiled ones. There were also lots of char siew such that each bite was full of ingredients. Each plate only cost $4.20! It was so value for money and most importantly, delish.
Price: $4.50 per plate

Located within Chinatown Point, this relatively new establishment has a long history and is now managed by their 3rd generation owners. The chicken was well braised and wonderfully tender. Rice was flavored, I suspect, with their soy sauce as well as it has a brown hue to it.
Price: $6.80 for drumstick on rice

Located in Keong Saik, this peaceful and quiet nook is the perfect spot for the weekend brunch. Serving handmade artisanal bread, their croissant is a must-have. Wonderfully light and puffy, the use of Normandy French butter gives it the richness one will expect from a croissant. Their pizzas were doughy and filled with ingredients. Good but not great.

Laid back atmosphere which epitomizes the βlimingβ culture of the Caribbean, Lime house serves up authentic Caribbean cuisine which is rare in this region. Curry goat was flavorful, tender and there was multiple layers of spices that underpinned its flavor. Served with rice. The signature Jerk chicken was also really good and flavorful. Tender yet flavorful. Portion wise, a little on the small side.

Half spring chicken grilled over cherry wood. Tender, juicy and flavourful, thoughtfully deboned as well. Reasonably priced for the portion and taste at $11.80 (as of 18 Jun 19). Plus with Burpple Beyond it's 1-for-1!
Chicken roulade ($9.80 as of 18 Jun 19) - two delicious parcels of skin-on chicken wrapped around an inner filling of minced chicken mixed with leek, shiso
leaves and egg yolk. The portion is appetiser-sized though so do also order other accompaniments or a carb dish if hungry.
Using premium grain fed Angus beef that has been marinated in mirin and sake, and stewed in white wine, it is wonderfully melt in your mouth tender. The stock is on the sweet side probably due to the marinate of the beef and sweetness of the radish. The hand made noodles were springy though the amount is small.

The Cha Chan Teng culture has arrived in Singapore in a big way with more outposts of famous HK brands sprouting in Singapore. Ordered the egg tarts since thatβs what they are famous for, and boy, it was surprisingly good!
Did not have high expectations as many similar egg tarts have disappointed but this one was very close to the original and tasted much better than its pop up at Taka previously. The egg tart was smooth, eggy and moderately sweet. The condensed milk toast was excellent too, crispy, warm and buttery.
One of the best, if not the best fried prawn noodle in my recent memory beating more renowned ones by a mile. Had long heard of this stall for a while now but did not manage to try it as it was located far in the North-East.
This rendition veers towards the wet style of hokkien mee but itβs so so good! The noodles were wonderfully infused with the prawn stock, making it so easy to slurp down the noodles. It also has the right amount of wok hei which is very hard to achieve. Ingredients were fresh and plentiful and includes pork belly slices which is a rarity these days. The sambal chilli with its tangy taste complements the noodles perfectly.
