Happy to have discovered this delicious and affordable Thai spot near me! Love me some pad Thai and I like this version as it’s more savoury than sweet. Huge portion of noodles alongside three generous prawns – can’t complain!
For cheap and satisfying meals in Bangsar, this is the place to be. I’m a sucker to places like this that serves everything under the sun from Western stuff to Asian dishes. I couldn’t finish this mee hoon – super generous serving and just very simple and tasty. Had it with a side of fresh apple juice.
Dessert comes in a more savoury form, and as much as I love savoury desserts, I wish this could have been a bit sweeter. Nonetheless, great finish to that outstanding meal.
This meal really took us on a flavour journey, and the best way to bring us back down is with a comforting dish like this one. Felt like we melted into our seats with each bite. Have the pickles with each bite!
My favourite of the night! Love the cook on the pork belly which reminded me so how spam’s cooked – crispy on the outside with crunchy edges and tender in the middle. Really like the idea of the soy milk sauce too – the sweetness helps balance the saltiness from the meat. There’s a dollop of honey mustard given which you must add to each bite! Really brings flavours to another level.
What a delicious and different way to eat yam! It’s so so meaty (in all the right ways) and for its light flavours, goes great with the savoury pork broth (although a bit too salty for my liking). Rice puffs scattered on top provide nice textural contrast against the soft yam. Really enjoyed this one.
This sees raw local tuna (delicious) in kelp broth with green papaya. Great way to bring down the flavours after the former dish.
Tart, refreshing and very bright. Great start to the meal. Tomatoes were super juicy and sweet which pairs excellently with the tart vinaigrette. The fish is served slightly torched and sashimi-style that adds a nice meatiness to the overall dish.
New omakase restaurant opens up in Seapark offering the best deals in town – RM70 for three courses and RM170 for five. Meal starts off with sourdough bread served with housemade kelp butter and balsamic vinegar.
What I felt was quite a small portion (only half a waffle) but satisfying especially if you’re looking for a light and sweet bite. The waffles while crispy on the outside was rather eggy in the middle, but could still taste hints of vanilla. Love the bananas with a sugar crack on it, however the real highlight is the housemade vanilla ice cream – super smooth and creamy! You can also order a scoop on its own for RM10.
Probably one of the more expensive black coffees but a decent cup nonetheless. Bold, fruity and just like the piccolo, possessed a strong bitter note at the end. Good for a morning pick me up. Can we also take a minute to admire those gorgeous Cone No.9 cups???
New cafe at The Hub is cosy, and promise to deliver great coffee and brunch grub. Heard beans in the hopper are from The Roast Things so expected coffee to be excellent – sweet at first but had a very strong bitter note at the end.
