The pastas was not al-dente and was soaking in oil. Prices was not exactly cheap either. Well, at least I can hop over to Creamier to end everything in a happy and sweet note!
Ottoman ($22++) is just my type of breakfast. I won't say no to a hearty pan of shakshouka! Tomatoes, vegetables and poached eggs just swim their way to my heart.
Pancakes, creamy scambled eggs, grilled tomato and a chunk of grilled chicken. All this at the price of $13.50, the Grilled Chicken Pancake was simply too value for money. And whats more, pancakes for dinner!
Well I'd definitely love to try all the amazing breakfasts at Wild Honey if not for the high price tags. SoCal ($22++) is a healthier choice out of the extensive menu. I just love the egg white omelette and zucchini strips!
Apart from finger-licking good seafood in the bag, the boiler serves up some pretty mean lunch. The Miso-Dijon salmon was cooked perfectly and the sauce was delicious. As a sucker for sweet potato fries, I would unfortunately have to say this aint the best one.
Every since my experience with coconut ice cream in Thailand, I've been exploring Singapore for the same coconut goodness i enjoyed in Thailand. This coconut soft serve ($5) was really on point with the flavour and the touch of shredded coconut chips just elevated the entire experience!
Well, this summarize my virgin experience with lamb. Having heard so many negative comments about lamb having a "unique" taste, i was quite skeptical about this Mediterranean Lamb Pizza ($24++). Boom, the amazing mediterranean flavour just threw all my doubts away. No doubt, the winning combination of well marinated lamb meat with cumin, feta cheese and mint yogurt sauce might not suits everyone's palate. But it definitely wow me in a good way.
If you're the kind of person who loves homemade pastries & froyo, Milk & Honey will be your new bae. Rather than having the fixed signatures parfait, i prefer to customise my own yogurt. Talk about being assertive! At just $6.80, you get to choose 4 toppings ranging from macarons, cakes to fruits. Why are people still queuing for the L brand?
Had always been an avid fan of Real Food! The Shiitake Mushroom Noodle Soup had a sweet broth & the handmade noodles was so chewy! Haha, the pumpkin pancakes taste like those Pasar Malam's pan-fried tapioca cakes tho.
Morton's the perfect place for some drinks and awesome bar bites with friends. Give their martinis a sip and boy, you'll feel the kick of that booze. Every bite of their Crab Cake BLT is pure bliss with those chunks of solid crab meat. Not to mention, they probably have the best happy hour promotion: FREE FLOW STEAK SANDWICHES! (daily from 5pm - 7pm, with purchase of their martinis)
Blown away by the generosity of the beef slices on top of the pizza! Crust was thin and chewy. Love the ambience & friendly staff, will be back for more it not for the ulu location ):
Love the green setting of the cafe in the midst of Bishan-Amk Park. Everyone seems to be ordering burgers so we had the Cheeseburger ($13) & the Portobello Burger ($11) which came with a side of fries. The Cheeseburger & fries was alright, but the Portobello Burger was disappointing. Unlike our expectations of a thick and juicy portobello mushroom, Grub's portobello was hammered thin ): When we requested for more fries dips flavours, the friendly staff kindly obliged and gave us the options for the dips. The Soy-Glazed Salmon Pasta ($16) is lovely with a sweet sukiyaki flavour and bonito flakes. But the "generous" chef made the pasta swim in an oily sukiyaki sauce. Their Churros ($9) was one of the best I had, not oily but their chocolate dip could be slightly thicker. All the cakes look amazing in the display. Unfortunately, the twiced-baked sour cream cheesecake was stale and not fresh ): Overall, there's some hits and misses in the cafe but the ambience and the staff there was friendly!
