I decided to eat at pita & olives due to the few good reviews before me. However, I was left very disappointed due to the following:
1. Ridiculously small portions. I paid $30 for the 2 sets pictured above, which seems to have shrunk considerably from the previous reviews.
2. They seem to not have enough big plates as they required 5 plates to serve my 2 sets.
3. Food was lukewarm bordering on cold, given the fact that they took 10 minutes to prepare my food. I am not saying that it should be instant, but rather i expect it to be hot.
Needless to say, I won't be coming back, and I doubt they'll be around for long.
Had the plain bagel with scallion cream cheese schmear and cinnamon raisin bagel with the walnut raisin schmear. Freshly made bagels with in house spreads, what more can you ask for?
Had the scrambled eggs on toast ($10 for just toast and eggs) with the savoury French toast. The French toast ($15) was a winner with a great combination of flavours, the sweet and slightly salty French toast, paired with back bacon, and a poached apple which provided a good tang to neutralise the richness of it.
The scrambled eggs were extremely smooth and creamy, which went well with the thickly buttered toast.
The wicked mocha was a unique drink which is worth a try! The place however is a bit dark and grungy for brunch though
Couldn't find the shop at claymore connect, tried calling and the call can't go through
Popcorn chicken was flavourful and went well with the chili mayo. Fries however were soggy, but pairing it with kimchi and steak was a great ide. They also have a decent selection of craft beers!
PS: left my phone behind and the owner kept it for me!
Questionable food preparation hygiene, but one mouth is all it takes to transport me back to Vietnam! Prepared by an auntie from ho chi minh, this is as authentic as it gets! $6 for a bowl, which is a tad pricey given the location, but still worth it!
Had to queue for 30 minutes, but the noodles were worth it! Rich curry broth with generous slices of chicken to fill you up.
A tad pricey, but undoubtedly the best burger in Singapore (so far) for me! The cheese and beef went so well together, and the burger itself didn't need anything else to adorn it. Pure unadulterated goodness!
The default doneness is medium rare, so I ordered a medium. It was in fact a medium well burger. Not sure what meat they used in their patty, but it just tasted off to me. Cheap burger, but not enough to make me come back.
Beautifully made roll which tasted very fresh! Very unique and well put together combo
Ordered the special tonkotsu king ramen, but it was just too jelat for my liking. The soup has a thick, almost starchy consistency to it, which felt artificial. The chasu was too lean, without any fat on it. Won't be coming back I guess
Had the waffle with vanilla bean ice cream and berry compote. The subtle vanilla ice cream went well with the crispy waffle. Only complaint I have is that I didn't expect the compote to be so sour, which completely overpowered the ice cream and waffle
