Didn't manage to snap a picture of the baos, but I managed to get a pic of the noodles (this was the 'must order' beef noodles). Soup was cold and flavourless, with a few chunks of meat and overcooked noodles.

The baos have thick skin, hard and were very pricey. I reckon you could get better (and cheaper) ones at Chinatown. Please avoid this shop at all costs.

When you eat these magnificent dumplings. These dumplings have such a thin and smooth skin that you'll be tempted to swallow them whole.

Perfectly boiled, and doused with just the right amount of soy sauce, vinegar and chilli oil, these dumplings will work up your appetite.

Recommended portion: One plate per person

This is a bowl of perfection. Perfectly cooked brisket, tendon, ox tail, beef slices on top of a bowl of bouncy ramen noodles immersed in a beef broth that's rich and perfectly seasoned!

The kitchen needs to improve as waiting time was very long

Not the best shot, but this was my takeaway order from Taste Affair today. I got the chicken leg with chorizo option, and added $2 for extra chicken

Some people might find the chicken to be on the dry side, but I personally like the charred bits. The pasta was also tossed well in the sauce, making every mouthful a flavourful one.

Would recommend for the value and taste!

Combine a tom yum soup that does not leave you wincing from the sourness, and a fatty tonkotsu soup that's perfectly cut with the Tom yum spices, and you'll get this perfect bowl of creamy spicy tangy Tom yum soup that leaves you wanting for more!

1 for 1 deal on fried chicken? Sign me up!

Love that Burpple now has a deals feature which alerts you to food deals!

Had the Nashville hot 🐔 and buttermilk fried 🐔 ! Both chicken were well marinated, and tender even though they were thoroughly deep fried. Preferred the hot chicken over the normal one as it has a nice kick to it.

However, the real stars of the night were the Mac n cheese and biscuit with gravy. The Mac n cheese was done just right with a good amount of cheese and cream that did not end up being too jelat! The biscuit was rich and 'fluffy' which was complemented very well by the savoury gravy.

The promotion ends at 31 April, so better hurry up!

Had this for lunch the other day! The steak was tender and seasoned just right, and the other toppings were pretty standard, with special mention of the edamame which were tossed in a slightly spicy sauce.

Beware though, I came back the second day to find my steak underseasoned and overcooked, to a point where I had trouble finishing the meal (which never happens! Goes to show how bad it was)

Had the wagyu beef with foie gras donburi tonight! I preferred the tanuki raw version as I feel that the acidic sushi rice is able to cut through the jelatness as compared to the white rice version@ kinki. Liked how they cut it into smaller pieces here as each individual piece is more fragrant. They were also pretty generous with it as well - you'll pretty much get a chunk of foie gras in each mouthful.

Nonetheless, had a great time there as the other items were pretty decent - unagi and Hokkaido scallop maki, spicy tuna maki and spicy miso edamame. They have a pretty good selection of sake and umeshu as well. Service staff were pretty attentive throughout the night as well.

Price was reasonable as you get special offers on either AMEX or Entertainer. Highly recommended for a special night out!

ps: Remember to ask for a window seat!

The pork jowl was extremely tender and well marinated. Remember to go for the chili sauce which gives a nice kick and balances out the fatty pork.

Service was excellent, and they were extremely apologetic when they told me they ran out of chicken for the day. In fact, they gave me a small portion of beef to try when I said I wanted to buy an extra portion but they have run out.

Remember to come early on weekends to avoid disappointment as they sell like hotcakes!

Had this for a work day lunch and boy did I regret it! Quite affordable at $6.5 for an extra serving of chicken cutlet

The horfun was cooked on the spot and tossed with crunchy taugeh before being doused with the thick sinful curry sauce. The fried chicken was marinated with spices which went well with the creamy curry sauce.

Go for it if you want to fall asleep at your desk in the afternoon!

Had the upsized normal noodles ($5+$1.5) with the salt baked chicken thigh ($5.9)

The bak chor mee was quite run of the mill with a decent amount of pork lard and chilli. The salt baked chicken was fall off the bone tender, but nothing to shout about in terms of taste.

A good place to eat if you're in the mood for bak chor mee in a comfortable setting

Had the basil chicken rice ($4.5), fried kangkung ($3.5), white tomyum ($5) and pad thai ($4.5)!

Basil chicken was done just right with the right amount of chillies and gravy to go with the rice. White tomyum was a bit too sour for my liking.

Funny story: while we were halfway digging in, the store owner came running to our table with a small bowl of fish slices because she forgot to put them in!

Good place for a cheap thai fix!
