Grilled Cheese Patty Melt ($26) A really good cheeseburger - but in a sandwich! Why have burger buns when you can have grilled cheese sourdough? The Blackmore wagyu patty was juicy, very tasty with the pastrami jam, garlic aioli and cucumber pickles. Very classic cheeseburger ingredients and executed well in this sandwich. Overall a good sandwich, slightly pricey but it was delicious so I’ll take that. Visited on a public holiday and at 11am, their tater tots were already out of stock! This eliminated many of their breakfast options, sadly. Would return again earlier to try their other options.

Pastrami Reuben ($26) So glad my friend and I shared the sandwiches at this place, because they are really generous with the meat! The smoked pastrami brisket was just overflowing in between the slices of caraway rye sourdough toast, it wasn’t too salty on its own but the sheer amount of it in the sandwich made it quite so, along with the provolone cheese. Fortunately there was sauerkraut and Russian dressing to cut through the salty and savoury notes. Overall a very tasty sandwich, would recommend to share otherwise the pastrami brisket can get quite overwhelming. Slightly pricey for a sandwich, but the amount of meat and tastiness of the dish kinda makes up for its price. Visited on a public holiday and at 11am, their tater tots were already out of stock! Prawn pesto ($25), Seabass ($28) Both dishes were good! Pesto sauce is thick & prawns were fresh. Skin of seabass was crispy.

Worth trying! Duck Confit Taglatelle - Smells amazing, and looks enticing! Tastes nice, though I personally prefer a stronger seasoning flavour when it comes to duck. The more I ate it, the more I enjoyed it though😄

No. 4 Galette ($19++) Served with ham, egg, sauteed mushrooms and cheese. There was no sauce so it was abit dry. I was expecting a crispy crepe but the crepe was doughy. It was slightly bitter. The portion is quite filling.

Galettes we went with no.4 Chiffonade of ham, organic egg sunny side up, over sautéed mushrooms, Comté cheese and no.7 French pork sausage, onion confit marinated in 23 cider, old style mustard cream, comte cheese. i enjoyed the pork sausage galette more as i’m not a huge fan of mushrooms.

Lovely cafe with good food First time we tried the famed Galettes and while we didn't love it, it was definitely top notch in terms of taste and quality. Had the No. 3 (Sauteed mushrooms with Comte cheese and a sunny side up, $18) and the No. 8 (Pork pancetta carbonara style with spinach, onions, and sunny side up, $19). Preferred No. 8 as the carbonara sauce gave more flavour to the Galette. As you get to the sides of the Galette though, you just have more of the plain buckwheat flour taste, so do leave some of the fillings for the sides!

Hay & Apples I was pretty excited to pay @nosleepclubsg a visit as they’d received the Campari One To Watch Award 2020 from the organisers of Asia’s 50 Best Bars. I ordered a 𝐇𝐚𝐲 & 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐬, which is a highball made of scotch whisky sous vide with toasted hay and served with fermented apple chamomile honey. This drink is smoky and sweet, with a hint of earthiness from the toasted hay. What I enjoy about this drink is that it’s not too sweet, and it’s boozy but doesn't hit you as hard as some whisky-based drinks do. Super easy and enjoyable to drink! The cosy interior makes @nosleepclubsg perfect for good conversations over some tasty interesting tipples🥂!

Basque Cheesecake 16.0(Inclusive Of Gst) So it's 14.95+(gst). The service was really good(this dashing 20yo Swedish? who spoke perfect English) and you're supposed to tip but the quality of the food really made that difficult It tastes exactly like an NY to me, idk why. First of all the cheesecake doesn't flow AT ALL. Though they explained it's meant to be that way, to go with the ice cream. Cheesecake itself was executed decently but it's nothing special about it at all. Take note this is 16 before service charge(tips in this case). Olivia's one is 14 lol Salted caramel ice cream was more like shoyu ice cream, it's watery and very salty. Come here for the service team. Srsly though, they're pretty cool

An absolutely stunning Sunday Roast It’s been awhile since I had a Sunday roast (complete with Yorkshire pudding and gravy mind you), so when I saw this on No Sleep Club’s weekend offerings it earned an immediate “HELL YEAH!!!” from us. If you could say no to this beautiful plate of food, well shame on you. That’s all I have to say. You’ve got a choice between roast pork or beef ($35), and while I’m sure the pork would make a fab option as well I was mighty pleased we got the beef. Thicc, tender, absolutely succulent, and perfectly seasoned too with a wonderfully smokey and charred crust. The accompanying gravy was on point as well: rich and aromatic, thick and nicely reduced without any starchy fillers. Put that with sides of roasted potatoes, sautéed spinach and shrooms, and some crisp puffy Yorkshire puddings, and you’ve got yourself a Sunday deliciously spent 🤤🤤🤤

Taco Tuesday Went for their Taco Tuesday again where each taco is $3 nett. Not sure is it because nvr add salsa, but the skin is more dryer than I remember. Overall, I still like it and worth the deal when is taco tuesday

Grilled Cheese Sandwich It took me a few years but here I am. I love grilled cheese and just had to try this. Although they used sourdough, I quite enjoyed it. The cheeses included Monterey Jack, provolone and sharp cheddar.

$3 Taco Tuesday Came here for their $3 Taco Tuesday promotion and they really given generous serving. Had the steak, pork, beef tongue, fish & shrimp and I like the beef tongue the most. Delicious

Signature Mochi Donut with Cookie Butter Softserve ($15) Yum! Mochi donut was served hot and was very pleasantly chewy, it’s not sweet on its own so it complements the other components. The cookie biscuit that was the base of the softserve was good too, crunchy and sweet/buttery. Softserve was p smooth and creamy, cookie butter flavour was distinct and honestly much less sweet than typical speculoos-flavoured desserts. It’s served with some granola (that had freeze dried raspberry bits) and salted caramel sauce! Overall a p solid dessert, each component was good and came together nicely, not too sweet as a whole. The mochi donut is v filling so thankfully we shared this between 3! The only thing is that it would have been better if served on a plate - having it in the bowl meant that the donut was soaked in the softserve ‘soup’ when it melted.

Mochi Donut Icecream Brotherbird is very well known for their pastries especially their croissants! To my delight, their cafe’s desserts are beyond imagination. This bowl of goodness is put together using bisoff soft serve, Mochi donut, dried strawberries and wafer. The texture was so balanced with soft and crisp, hot and cold. Goes really well with coffee and tea. Expected Damage: $15

Finally tried this on a lazy Friday afternoon. This mentaiko prawn double baked croissant feels well tailored to the singapore tastebud, with hints of sambal and lotssss of prawns. For $6.50, it's a unique dish that deserves a try. Plus it's quiet in the afternoon for some readings too. Only wished it could be served hotter and more crisp.
