While almost everyone here went for the Strawberry flavour, I was glad that I had chose this Injeolmi flavour, which may not be as aesthetically appealing but was definitely worth the 30 minutes wait, surpassing my expectations! 💕 Till date the BEST soufflé pancakes I’ve ever had in Seoul (@paulinpancake would have been on par if not for my recent disappointing experience with a raw, underbaked pancake😿). Sandwiched between these two soft, fluffy and wobbly soufflé pancakes comes a pleasant surprise of thin mochi layer that carries off a piquant cheesy flavour, a subtle lingering pleasant tings of saltiness that complemented the other sweet elements, coupled with a soft and chewy mouthfeel. Topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, the pancakes are also served with Injeolmi rice cake, cream that’s dusted with roasted soybean (Injeolmi) powder. Usually not a fan of cream but the one here is really light, with a smooth melt-in-the mouth texture, along with a lingering fragrance that made it a compatible companion to the soufflé pancakes. The addition of Injeolmi powder and mochi was a pleasant delight with its aromatic roasted flavour that’s distinctively prominent here and most importantly, the soufflé pancakes was baked to an ideal fluffy perfection, cotton-like and light where consuming one portion all by yourself is no challenge at all, which I think I might even be able to have 3 all by myself for a meal 🤭 .

[PS: Long queues is inevitable during weekends, and even on a Friday afternoon I had to queue for 20 minutes. But no regrets though, and there’s even a complimentary cup of hot fruit tea for all queueing customers waiting in line 👍🏻 Do head down early or perhaps on a weekday if you wish to avoid (longer) queues! ✨] .

With free flow of rice, kimchi, pickles and cabbage salad, this is definitely a value-for-money meal, thanks to @nipzz195 for the great recommendation in this hidden gem near my current hood! 🙆🏻‍♀️👍🏻 With a base of braised spicy stew that somehow reminded me of Jjimdak, the piping hot stew also comes with generous portion of tender fried chicken chunks, sliced onions, topped with egg that’s buried underneath the pile of melted gooey cheese! 🤩 Sorry no #yolkporn here but oh well, at least there’s an amazing cheesepull! 🧀😉 The only downside was the fried chicken that had lost its crispness on its supposedly golden brown battered exterior after context with the stew, perhaps switching to braised chicken would be a better option instead? 🤔 Nevertheless, I still enjoyed this dish truly with its tangy, flavourful stew that comes with an aromatic tinge of spiciness, along with a thick layer of gooey melted mozzarella that added a pleasant piquant flavour. Wouldn’t mind a repeated visit just for this dish, given its pocket-friendly pricing, generous portion and most importantly, the satisfying palatability! 😋😋 . The free-flow kimchi here was pretty good too, though unfortunately I only realized about this complimentary “condiments” service when I was about to finish my meal, otherwise I would have gladly taken a 2nd serving of kimchi! 🤭😛 .

Served with tender bacon slices and topped with an onsen egg that eluded a merciless yet gorgeous flow🤩, my favourite component has got to be the bonito flakes which provided a pleasant umami flavour to the creamy spaghetti.
2️⃣ Spinach tortellini with tomato coulis, ricotta cream & basil oil
A vegetarian-friendly dish that comprises of dumpling-shaped pasta with compact fillings of creamy, minced spinach, this dish is also served with shiitake mushrooms, green peas, ricotta cream, drizzled with basil oil on a shallow pool of tangy tomato coulis. Thankfully(for me) the tomato coulis was just an insignificant minor component here😅. Simply adore the creamy minced spinach fillings that scored a substantial balanced ratio between pasta sheet:fillings, which was surprisingly a good complement here, without any vegetal bitter undertone. The addition of mushrooms also provided a pleasant earthy note while the ricotta cream wasn’t too cloying, which also imparted some smoothness and moisture to the pasta sheets.
3️⃣Tagliatelle pasta, diablo with clam, cherry tomato & crabmeat [$14.90]
My favourite pasta among the 3 here, also partly due to my bias for seafood 🤭. Beneath the al dente tagliatelle pasta sheets lies a base of lobster bisque which was flavourful, umami with a seafood-sque flavour, topped with fresh and juicy clams, crabmeat chunks and cherry tomato. This pasta is also mildly spicy with garnishes of fresh cut chilli slices.
With all weekday set lunches, you can also enjoy a complimentary soup of the day (Dashi soup for us that day), along with house salad (assorted raw crunchy vegetables with wafu dressing).

Thanks @viiogastropub for satisfying my palate with a sumptuous spread and @ariane.le for extending the invite! 🙆🏻‍♀️😋 .

A 10oz cup comprising of Green tea softserve, layered with black sesame powder and topped with Injeolmi rice cake and white chocolate chunks. The latter came as a pleasant surprise which wasn’t stated in the menu. Though I am personally not a fan of white chocolate, I simply adore the tangy yogurt-alike aftertaste that came along with this luscious melt-in-the mouth bite sized treat! 😋 Didn’t know 혹임자 stands for ‘Black sesame’ as otherwise I would have omitted it due to personal preference😅. That being said, I was glad that it’s characteristic roasted smoky flavour was not too intense here! 🙏🏻 The matcha softserve is definitely not for the hardcore matchaholics, coming with a distinct but mild subtle earthy note. Love the pairing of the Injeolmi rice cake cubes though, which contributed to a chewy mouthfeel and a lingering roasted aroma .

Topped with fresh strawberry slices that added a tangy note, adding another dimension of flavour to the mild , lingering bitter undertone and earthy notes of the smooth, creamy luscious green tea flavoured mascarpone cream cheese. That being said, the characteristic earthy, umami flavour of green tea was lacking greatly here, distinct but mild, not for the hardcore matchaholics. The thin base layer of ladyfinger biscuit would have been better with a greater infusion of coffee, whereby the one here seems to be have been a touch-and-go dip into the caffeine pool .
.
2️⃣Classic Kingsize Tiramisu [8000 won ~> $9.60]
Dusted with coco powder that added a bittersweet flavour profile to the smooth, creamy and luscious mascarpone cream cheese! 💕 The aroma of coffee was much more prominent here, coupled with the lingering bitter undertone that served as a perfect counterbalance to the divine, decadent sweet treat. Would have been even better if there was a higher ratio of cake : cream, since the tiramisu here comprises of 90% mascarpone cream cheese and a mere 10% of ladyfinger biscuit base .
.
3️⃣ Iced green tea latte [6500 won ~> $7.80]
Requested for no syrup but... it was still sweet with barely any matcha flavour. Perhaps it’s a Korea “custom” here to serve sweet & milky green tea lattes, judging from my previous experiences at other cafes (not specialized in matcha) as well! 😅 If you are one who’s into matcha & green tea, it’s highly advisable to give this a miss and just head for the tiramisu, which is much more distinct in matcha flavour. //
On a side note, the ambience and aesthetics of this cafe is 💯, perfect for chilling over a cuppa or taking your OOTD shots! 📸 .

💕 Naturally dyed with gorgeous pastel pink hues from beetroot, the creamy sauce was a great complement to the bamboo charcoal rice tucked in a blanket of soft egg crepe. Served alongside are crispy, tender and juicy chicken karaage 🍗 , crunchy broccoli 🥦 , Star-shaped carrots 🥕 and cheese 🧀, as well as fresh garden salad .
2️⃣Pusheen-in-a-bun Ebi burger[$20.90]
Sandwiched between two soft and fluffy Pusheen bamboo charcoal mantou bun lies a crisp ebi patty, lettuce, tomato slices, cheddar cheese coupled with goma mayo sauce. Ebi better, there’s also deep fried ebi prawns served alongside, comprising of fresh, plump and juicy prawns within their crisp, panko-crusted golden brown exterior. French fries, fresh garden salad as well as a pink mantou bun (would be great if it’s stuffed with some fillings) come across as calefares to the main highlight of the ebi burger bun .
[PS: Last day of Pusheen pop-up at @kumoya_singapore would be till 31st March. Do head there soon before the revamp of a new character theme!🐱] .

~ While almost everyone is having the Surprise Choc Ball, I decided to go for something that was less of a gimmick and more easy for the wallet. True though, the lava cake didn’t disappoint, with its luscious flow of cookies and cream molten filling within the soft and sufficiently moist cake. The creamy, warm oreo x white chocolate molten lava filling was divine, with pleasant tinge of sweetness that wasn’t cloying but satisfying, at least so for me. Paired with a swirl of lychee x yogurt softserve that was smooth and creamy, with a tangy, fruity note, the kaleidoscopic dessert is also served with marshmallow, meringue kisses on a bed of chocolate cookie crumble, along with fresh strawberries and a kawaii pusheen cookie perched on a pool of cotton candy! 😻 .
[PS: This is only available at @kumoya_singapore ‘s character pop-up store till 31st March, before the next phase of character change] .

Note that there is a rule of 1 drink per pax for dining in ⚠️ (swipe to the end for the beverage menu). Among the 2 tarts that I’ve tried, I personally prefer the sweet potato flavour which surprisingly surpassed my initial expectation for it(perhaps due to its not-so-appealing appearance) with its luscious, pleasant tinge of natural sweetness in the dense, creamy texture of the sweet potato paste. Along with chunks of sweet potato bits embedded within, the tart crust was also crisp, firm and slightly crumbly, with a whiff of aromatic buttery fragrance. Topped with a slice of dried sweet potato slice, perhaps the only downside in this tart was the top layer of cream which was a tad too thick and redundant here for me, a significant role in visuals without contributing much flavour😅 .
On the other hand, the triple tart was pretty enjoyable as well, with a bittersweet cacao note in its crumbly albeit firm chocolate flavoured tart crust. Chocolate, banana and...? I wondered what’s the 3rd component here though for this TRIPLE tart 🤔. With fresh, ripe banana slices that comes with a caramelised glaze on the top layer, there’s even more of it sandwiched within the chocolate mousse layers which was creamy with a luscious, divine chocolatey flavour that complements the banana slices. After all, chocolate and banana is always a safe option that would never go wrong! 👍🏻 .
As for the Cream Oreo Milk tea, it comes in both hot and cold version, which I opted for the latter. Topped with a thick layer of cream and oreo, the milk tea beneath was fortunately not too sweet, with a subtle lingering fragrance and a tea flavour that could have been more distinct. If only the cream was cheese foam instead, as it got rather cloying after awhile that I gave up and just drank the milk tea in silo! 😅 A hidden gem which I chanced upon randomly in Ikseon-dong✨! Loving the cozy ambience and awesome tarts here and would certainly be back for more! 💕

😣 Speaking of which, this reminds me of the ‘Nasi Lemak’ which I had 2 months back @estationcafe! 🤤 Plating resembles a Nasi Lemak but it’s actually Butterfly Pea Pearl rice (minus the coconut flavour), chicken satay, achar, prawn cakes and my favourite component of all - FISH OTAH! (swipe for a zoomed in view🤩). The thick slab of handmade Muar Fish Otah is umami-packed, flavourful with an aromatic tinge of spice factor! 🔥 A great complement to the pearl rice, though I would gladly have another portion of this in silo! 💖 Of course, the other accompanying elements were enjoyable as well, with tender grilled chicken satay in a sweet nutty sauce, tangy and slightly spicy achar, along with crispy prawn crackers to end off the meal! 👍🏻 Definitely dish that I would come back for again if I am in the vicinity! .

Thanks @estationcafe for the warm hospitality, awesome food and @missionsgcafes for extending the invite! 🙆🏻‍♀️.

Served chilled and slightly frozen, the cheesecake comes in a really huge slice that might be best shared! Fret not as this cheesecake wasn’t too overwhelming or rich, with a pleasant, tangy yogurt-alike flavour that somehow resembled a tofu cheesecake instead. Hence it was lighter and easier to the palate, which I managed to finish on my own, along with another scoop of matcha ice cream, which was offered on the house due to the 30 minutes waiting time for this cheesecake despite my prior reservation. On the downside ,matcha flavour was rather weak here, with only subtle distinctive notes in the thinnest layer of level 5. Nevertheless, it was still enjoyable as a cheesecake, along with a crisp and crumbly Oreo cookie base.
2️⃣No.5+ Matcha ice cream [3800 KRW ~> $4.50]
Still the BEST matcha ice cream to me in Seoul, serving from level 1 to 5+ of matcha! 🍵 No doubt I got the highest level, which held a distinct, umami earthy note coupled with a lingering bitter undertone which I adored greatly! 💕 The texture was thick, smooth, creamy and pretty dense which didn’t melt as fast too, allowing a prolonged enjoyment.
3️⃣Matcha milk tea [ 3800 KRW ~>$4.50]
Weaker matcha flavour as compared to the gelato that leans towards the milky flavour profile, with only a mild earthy note. Tbh I ordered this solely for the sake of the bottle (and the gram😅) which I kept and reused it as a water bottle 🤭. For those who aren’t hardcore matchaholics, you might enjoy this “sweet matcha” beverage! ~ .

1️⃣Soufflé pancake [$23]
Garnished with nuts, assorted fruits and served with maple syrup and sweet cream, this is perhaps the most instagrammable dish with its kaleidoscopic visual and plating. The soufflé pancakes are baked to a soft, fluffy texture with a marshmallow and cotton-alike interior. Perhaps a dish that sends one on cloud-nine with its cloud-like mouthfeel to the palate ☁️! 😋
2️⃣Honey butter toast / Chocolate butter toast [$11.50] With 2 flavours of thick butter toasts available, these butter toasts are served with whipped cream, cream cheese, honey and topped with a generous medley of assorted nuts, coupled with chocolate sauce drizzled on for the latter. The thick brioche loaves are toasted to an ideal crisp perfection on its crusty brown edges, along with a soft and pillowy well-buttered interior that carries off an aromatic, lingering buttery fragrance .

[PS: Note that the portion is huge for these 2 desserts though! Highly recommended for sharing 😉] .

Heard that a new menu has recently been launched, but fret not! The old menu is still available, and here are some dishes from the old menu that I’ve tried:
1️⃣American breakfast [$19.50]
When you are up too late for breakfast, this would make the perfect and fulfilling brunch! ✨ Comprising of scrambled eggs, sausages, mushrooms, hashbrown, guacamole on baguette, grilled tomatoes, baked beans and mix salad - the generous portion can easily fit 2 pax (or a hungry soul). 2️⃣Honey ham cheese panini [$17.50]
Sweet or savory? The best of both worlds here that complement instead of compete with each other : slices chicken ham, trio of Camembert, mozzarella and cheddar cheese is sandwiched within two slices of toasted panini, along with honey that added a pleasant tinge of sweetness to the other savoury elements.
3️⃣Hot pulled chicken pizza [$21.50]
Hot pulled spicy chicken slices, onion, pepper, black olives, pineapple, mozzarella & cheddar cheese on a tomato sauce based pizza. Not a fan of tomato hence thankfully it wasn’t present in excessive amount, and perhaps the spiciness from the tender pulled chicken did help to compensate for it slightly. Nevertheless, I still enjoyed this pizza somehow with its crisp edges and variety of flavourful components that was a good combination overall ; though I had to admit the fussy me still picked out the pineapple chunks 🤭 .
.
Of course, that’s not all - stay tuned to my upcoming post on the desserts that I have tried here as well! 🤓
