Had our first vegan cafe experience😋! The food was housemade, so they tasted really fresh and guilt-free. Our favourite was the Matcha latte, made using Naoki matcha. Love the thick and slightly bitter matcha taste with oat milk, not too sweet as well🍵. We liked the Mushroom Knife-cut Noodles Stir-fry as well, especially the chewy texture of the Chinese yam noodles🍜. A pity we didn't get to try their vegan waffles, hopefully we'll be able to try them the next time😬!

Super excited to try The Dark Gallery as we love anything chocolate🍫! The Chocolate brownie in the Chocolate and Coffee pairing was absolutely delicious. It was warm, soft, chocolatey and dense. Having it with the chocolate sauce drizzled on it made it an even more decadent treat🤤! Glad to have the coffee which helped to wash it down☕. The chocolate ice cream was pretty good too. We liked that it was not too sweet, but it was a little icy for us🍦. We'll definitely return for that chocolate brownie though!

Really nice handmade traditional kueh at Jalan Kukoh Food Centre, a probably less well-known hawker centre around! Tried Soon Kueh and Peng Kueh, and both were full of vegetables and glutinous rice🍚, really fragrant and good😌! The skin was very smooth too, though a little on the thicker side😬. Do note that it's best to pre-order first these through a phone call, to avoid disappointment when you head down☎️!

Spent a chill afternoon at Joo Chiat Caphe with a cup of delicious Vietnamese coffee☕. Generally, there are 2 types of coffee you can get here, the usual Vietnamese coffee and the Drip Vietnamese coffee. We preferred the Ice Drip vietnamese coffee for it had a stronger and more fragrant flavour, while the normal ice Vietnamese coffee tasted a little too diluted over time🧊. Even though, the drip version costs a little more, we'll definitely recommend getting that😀! Saw that they offer fusion Bahn mis🥖 as well with pretty interesting flavours, we'll love to come back and try them in the future😍!

Had our lunch at Guan Hoe Soon, one of the oldest Peranakan restaurants in Singapore😃! Tried a variety of dishes and our favourite was their Traditional Nonya Roast Pork🍖, a dish we had to call and reserve in advance as it's not on the menu. We liked the combination of the roast pork with pickled veggies, as the slightly sour and refreshing pickles helped to cut through the grease🥒. The other dishes were pretty good as well, but we felt the portion was a little small for it's price. Nevertheless, we had a pretty nice experience there. Definitely a good place for family meals👪!

Reviewing round 2 of cakes we got from Cedele🍰! The cakes we had this time round were all pretty good. The cheesecakes were creamy and not too heavy-tasting🧀. However, we did find the Yuzu Raspberry cheesecake a little sweet and the taste of dark chocolate cookies🍪 could be more prominent for the Chocolate Cookies & Cream cheesecake😬. We loved the Red Velvet and Real Chocolate cake🍫, especially the chocolate cake which was simple but delicious. Also had just the perfect amount of frosting to make it a delectable afternoon snack☕!

Had a super satisfying bowl of Ban Mian at Geylang for lunch🍜. The noodles here are handmade, with a good bite. You can choose from Mee Hoon Kueh, Ban mian and U-mian and our favourite is the Mee Hoon Kueh! Lots of ways to customise your Ban Mian as well, as you can get the one with pork🥩 or meatball, even fishball and fish slices🐟 as well! But our favourite is still the one with pork, a classic option! It was super hot in the afternoon and we were sweating buckets while slurping down the Ban Mian, but no regrets honestly~ 🥵

Had a lovely lunch at Si Chuan Dou Hua yesterday, with delicious food and a stunning view from the top of UOB plaza🌇. We were not super adventurous in the Sichuan dishes we ordered, hence they all had a nice heat🌶️ to it but not to the point we had to keep reaching out for tea🍵. One of our favourites was the Stir-fried Sliced Pork with Leek in Spicy Sauce, as you could really taste the wok hei in it🍲. The Deep-Fried Prawns in Passion Fruit Sauce was an absolute winner as well, as the batter was thin and crispy, and the prawns were big and had a nice bite to it🍤. Coupled with the slightly sweet and sour passion fruit sauce, super delicious! Overall, all the dishes we had, from main dishes to dessert, were not bad at all. Definitely a memorable meal☺️!

Simply can't resist getting ice cream from Bird's of Paradise everytime we're at Jewel Changi😋. Our favourite flavour is Pistachio, which is creamy, nutty and not too sweet🍦. Love having their Thyme cone as well, as we love the fragrance and flavour of the herbs🌿, which is something you don't really get in usual cones. Though a little pricey, everyone needs an indulgence once in a while right?😬

Super duper lucky to have won Cedele's anniversary giveaway, now we have 25 free cake slices🎉! Cedele's Carrot Walnut Cake is our absolute go-to and because of that, we've actually never tried their other cakes before😂. Not to mention that prices have gone up slightly now, so all the more we stuck to something we know is good.

Thanks to the giveaway, we are now on a mission to try as many Cedele cake flavours as we can🍰! Our favourite is still the Carrot Walnut🥕, especially the dense carrot cake which goes so well with the cream cheese frosting🧀 and walnuts. The Chocolate Matcha is not bad too, especially the contrast between the bitter matcha and rich chocolate🍫. However, it was a little too creamy for us and we wished for it to have more cake.

On to the other flavours now😌!

Tried one of the popular Hokkien Mee stalls, YouFu Hokkien Mee, in Golden Mile today😌! Pretty nice and flavourful with Wok Hei in it. Could tell that the noodles and bee hoon soaked up the flavourful broth so it was good👍! We normally prefer the wetter type of Hokkien Mee with more gravy but this version was slightly on the drier side, not what we usually would go for😬. Also added extra egg and was surprised that it was served on the side🍳. We expected it to be mixed into the Hokkien Mee but it wasn't, so we mixed it in ourselves hahaha. Always love more egg which makes it more flavourful and fragrant😋!
