A little French Bakery/Cafe/Restaurant located along Bukit Timah Road, right next to Coronation Plaza, Choupinette has always been in the spotlight for their highly raved-about Eggs Ben and authentic French pastries. The menu is concise, and each set comes with a juice and hot drink. Just a disclaimer though, the beautifully poached eggs covered with rich and buttery Hollandaise sitting atop the crisp baguette does not come cheap here.

With sauerkraut, fantastic bites of salty roast potatoes and a simple fried egg, these good quality sausages shone. It was a hearty portion, good for sharing together with another light dish. Will definitely order again!

Got to try these for myself during the media tasting and while I'm not completely a fan, I must say The Missing Pan put quite a refreshing spin on a classic eggs royale dish. Substituting the usual cured slices are chunks of smoked salmon smothered in torched hollandaise, while the eggs themselves are slow-cooked to an oozy, barely-set consistency, topped with seaweed crumbs and served on sourdough toast smeared with avocado. I feel a softer bread would have complemented and served better to mop up all that molten yolk goodness, too.

The food menu consists of a limited selection of fusion dishes, all of which are designed with the help of local chef Willin Low of Wild Rocket. Looking for the aftermeal dessert?
