Just chilling in the villa, dreaming of these gorgeous pancakes that we had two days ago. I love that they actually TASTE like red velvet, with silky cream cheese mousse layered between the soft, dark crimson discs. Vanilla ice cream, chocolate crumble and crunchy honeycomb act as accompaniments.

Have a sweet Sunday, y'all!

The burgers here are some kind of crazy awesome, especially the beef ones, which feature thick, juicy patties made from 60-day dry-aged chuck. Being dry-aged, the meat is naturally more intense on its own, but it's also seasoned just right so the beefiness isn't carelessly taken over by unnecessary salt.

The Al Capone, starring a 150g beef patty played up with bacon, smoked cheddar and grilled onions, just can't help being the utterly scrumptious thug it is. Its fatty succulence is enhanced with bone marrow emulsion, while a smoky house BBQ sauce and a piquant, slightly spicy creole chutney tease the tastebuds and keep them hankering for more.

Taking into consideration flavour, quality, and price (S$10), this bad boy has gotta be THE best burger I've ever had.

One whole live lobster is used to prepare this a la minute. After poaching, the lobster is shelled before tossing the sweet succulent meat with a Dijon-kissed mayonnaise and finally stuffing into fluffy pan-fried buns. SO BLOODY GOOOD!!!

Not sure whether the attention is on my nails or the waffle, but hey, I totally get it – both look beautiful πŸ™Š. Hehe.

Went back to @hvalawafflebar just two days after the tasting with @alainlicious, @pigg0ink and @geekyelephant because I couldn't get enough of their scrumptious waffles. I love that each waffle is a substantial size, but not too large that I'd struggle to finish one on my own. This one here is simply topped with whipped cream and balsamic vinegar-macerated strawberries – my favourite fruit!

At Chabuton's latest (4th) outlet in Millenia Walk where Chef Yasuji unveiled a new Yoruton Ramen dish with 5 levels of spiciness. We were feeling adventurous and challenged ourselves to Level 3.

Featuring Chabuton's signature tonkotsu broth with a combination of special chilli paste, garlic and juicy charsiew slices. For those who wish to challenge your spicy food tolerance, the Chabuton Yoruton Ramen will be available from 18 May 2015 onwards for a limited time only.

Happy Friday! On this day last week I first tried Top Paddock's ricotta hotcakes, and they, were, AMAZING. We ordered them because they were pretty as a picture, but I wasn't expecting such a taste revelation from what was essentially a supersized pancake. Luscious berries scattered atop a burnished golden brown hill of pillowy hotcake goodness, studded with sweet, melty blueberries like goldmines on a mountainside, gently soaking in a pool of pure organic maple syrup, absorbing its mellow sweetness. Savour it as your knife glides through the fluffy cake like hot iron through butter, then spread the lavender sugar specked double cream over your portion for an extra dose of decadence. The sunflower and pumpkin seeds add much needed texture to what can be quite an overwhelmingly rich dish. What a winner.

In the menu, this is known by its Italian name: "Capelli d'Angelo all'Aragosta". What I know is that it is a splendid union of al dente angel hair pasta and amazingly sweet chunks of fresh Maine lobster. The sauce that's made with Italian vine tomatoes, basil, sweet chilli and onions has a seductive sly heat which complements the fine pasta strands and delicate shellfish.

Why leave roasted bone marrow lying in the bone when it can be scooped out and slathered into multiple slots of a warm sesame seed studded bun? Every bite of this combination--that cushiony soft bread and creamy, fatty, slightly gelatinous marrow--triggered audible moans of pleasure.

This char siew is probably one of the BEST I've ever had in my entire life. Each bite was just simply melt-in-the-mouth, oh. So much love is involved in this. Definitely highly recommended. Too good! 😍😍😍

Average waffle, pretty decent fried chicken. Nothing to go all crazy about tbh! The recommended dish will honestly be the salmon with bacon and bread bits topped with Parmesan. Delightfully seasoned and a very refreshing dish to have in this crazy hot humid Singapore weather. This dish is really the dark horse for the place.
