This place deserves so much more attention!!!! Their wraps are soooo good and even the sauce is so good I mixed it with the other dishes I ordered. I usually order the prawn/pork wraps because I find the prawn ones to be somewhat refreshing, mixed with everything else in the wrap (perfect as an appetiser because it really builds your appetite) and the pork is so flavourful. I find myself craving for the wraps here every now and then so it's surely worth trying!
Fav tau suan!! Actually this is the only tau suan I've been eating for awhile now so I have nothing to compare it with but it's really pretty good! $2 per bowl and I'd recommend a take-away because the outlet itself can be a little stuffy and warm sometimes. The queue gets pretty long at certain times of the day but nonetheless a nice little breakfast/tea time meal!
This Modesto's outlet was fairly vacant but it was a great place to sit and catch up with friends because it wasn't noisy so I really liked that!
As for the food, the pizzas were great in my opinion! And pretty worth the price. The star of the show was the Rustica pizza, which was topped with onions, chicken and mushrooms. I'm personally not a fan of onions and usually pick out the onions in other dishes but it blended so well in this pizza that I cleaned my plate! The other pizza we ordered was the Margherita pizza which was also really good for a thin crust cheesy pizza. The fries we ordered was just the way I like it - thick and crispy on the outside.
I didn't try the pasta in the picture but it seemed pretty pricey in my opinion, about $35 if I'm not mistaken, while both our pizzas amounted to about $41 together.
As for the drinks, I wasn't too satisfied with the cocktail I ordered (Tom Collins) but it wasn't too shabby either, I still finished it! Overall I'd say the service was great and pizzas were really good and I would definitely dine there again.
Expensive, but extremely worth the price! While the majority of customers at Yoogane were relishing on the Chicken Galbi hot plate, we decided to go for the seemingly less popular option of the bulgogi hot plate. It came in raw, with leeks, onions and carrots, as well as an assorted array of dokboki while the service staff skillfully cooked the contents of the dish for us. Taste wise, this dish was very flavourful and we really enjoyed the different dokboki rice cakes like the mozzarella stuffed one, and my personal favourite was the Sweet Potato Dokboki that actually contained sweet potato within the rice cake. We added in one serving of ramen noodle as well that was very satisfactory and well integrated into the hot plate. Another thing that I enjoyed thoroughly at Yoogane was the free flow of side dishes. They offered things like kimchi, pickled radish and a salad but I have to say that the kimchi definitely deserves a special mention for truly being an appetite opener!
I was honestly quite disappointed in the Egg Roll served at Yoogane. It wasn't bad but it was a very plain and simple egg dish that did not match up to the expectation created by what was shown on the menu. Given that the egg was well cooked and quite light and fluffy it was really just a regular dish that I personally did not feel was worth the $9.90 (before taxes). If you enjoy and appreciate simple egg dishes topped off with the classic tomato sauce however, you might enjoy this more than I did!
My first time having a burrito bowl and it was fantastic! The chicken was flavourful and under the chicken, the rice is filled with a hearty amount of beans etc. I had my burrito bowl with a side of guacamole which was commendable as well. Overall a very filling dish, much more filling than I expected!
The chicken was nice and tender with baked potato wedges and a salad, served very aesthetically in my opinion. However I would have to say that there was nothing too memorable or exceptional about its taste, possibly because it wasn't served with any sort of dipping sauce, so the taste was all mainly in the skin of the chicken. I would recommend the pizzas instead, we tried the cheese pizza, very thin crispy crust which was enjoyable.
The ambience was pretty good tho, we went on a Saturday evening and there was live music with a good set of songs and the price seemed pretty decent considering that we were dining by the beach in Sentosa.
I haven't had much Japanese curry so I'm not sure how this fares compared to other Japanese curries but I was very satisfied by this plate, especially when eaten hot. We ordered level 2 spiciness which was just nice to feel a kick although the effect of the spiciness does not come immediately but rather progressively as you eat more. Other than that, the standard portion of the curry and the rice is very proportionate, though you have the option of selecting more curry/rice at an added cost.
Probably the best ramen I've had in Singapore so far. Broth was very rich and flavourful and the noodles were well done. My favourite part of the dish was the flavoured ramen egg, along with the free flow of hard boiled eggs and bean sprouts!
Service was excellent as the service staff explained the difference between the Four Seasons ramen to us before we placed our order and ordering is convenient as it is done on a piece of paper where options such as "less oil" is offered. The price before GST/ service tax was $14.90 but worth it in my opinion, especially for the very filling amount!
