Won't mind a #chocolate soufflé right now.
Can anyone ever get enough of this?! And the world answers with a resounding, "Noooooooooooooo!"
Freshly fried, hot and crisp! I loved the cheese fries! SO MUCH cheese. Cheese was especially good as it had the right balance of savoury, sweet, cheesy and creamy. Truffle fries were ok. I could detect the truffle, and the fries were salted to perfection. But I stuffed myself with the cheese fries so there wasn't much tummy space left for truffle fries :b
An expansion of Teppei San's empire (right next door in fact to his perpetually-booked-up Teppei restaurant) is this yakitori place where I had the opportunity to enjoy what I love and more.
Happy me got to gorge on his signature Bara Chirashi Don ($15++) that I've been missing terribly, and indulge in grilled delights as well. Pictured in the top image, from left to right: enoki mushroom wrapped with bacon, green peppers and scallops, all priced at $4++ per stick.
What's great about Hanahana is that you can actually get a seat here. Thank goodness for small mercies!
True to Teppei style, Hanare offers two value-for-money buffet options: full buffet at $19.90 (one main dish + free flow of 20 side dish options) or bara set at $17.90 (chirashi don + free flow of 4 side dish options). While the full buffet had interestingly respectable dishes like whole garlic cloves cooked in Japanese spice, I much preferred the bara set. Topped with an incredibly generous portion of fresh chunky pieces of sashimi like salmon, tuna, scallop, surf clam, swordfish and roe, the chirashi was incredibly indulgent, save for the overpowering sesame dressing. If you're ordering this, you might probably want to request for the dressing on the side. Be sure to head down early; by 12:30pm, the 42-seater was packed with a dozen PMEBs waiting in line. Definitely worth the money, and best of all, you won't need to make a reservation two months in advance. #foodporn #foodreview #foodie #hanare #japanese #food #chirashi #sashimi
At $5.50 this is a simple and hearty brekkie. I paired the ham w the slices of bread which has margarine / butter in it. To add on bacon its $1.80 per slice
First Blush : Pancakes , Salmon 🐟 , Rockets 🌱 , Cheese grilled tomato 🍅 , Scrambled egg 🍳
The pancakes and salmon wow-ed me . Pancakes were really soft, fluffy and had a 'milky' taste to it which I really liked . The color of the salmon was vibrant and it looks really fresh , seasoned w dark / soya sauce . Scrambled egg was good but they sprinkled too much pepper on it ! Gonna instruct them not to the next time round ~
