last part one the bee cheng hiang grillery - wrapped bakkwa with cheese in the middle :) I prefer my cheese just A LITTLE melty but this was still good, quite an interesting twist on what looks like a katsu-style dish. great add on to the mains we ordered!
apart from mains, bee cheng hiang grillery has awesome sides too - as a mushroom lover, this was 10/10, wrapping them in bacon bakkwa was a great touch. only wish that the dish could be a bigger serving!
yet another cool twist on pasta from bee cheng hiang grillery - for pork floss bun (or just pork floss) fans, this is is a flavourful lunch portion to have.
another great dish from the bee cheng hiang grillery ^^ very tasty broken-down burger that was both easy on the stomach as it was on the eyes!
went for a lunch with my fam nearby home and this was a great find! adding freshly grilled bak kwa to aglio olio instead of bacon was a great way to reimagine a snack that we all only usually eat during CNY, this was a creative mix and I really enjoyed eating it :)
boyfriend dearest got his signature steak as well - the medium cook was perfectly done, paired well with freshly sautΓ©ed vegetables. especially worth it with the 1-for-1 as I said before :)
drove out for a date night at serangoon gardens and had my signature salmon - grilled perfectly skin-side down, with very tasty complementary truffle mashed potatoes. worth it especially with the burpple 1-for-1 :)
chose a place near home for dinner with the family on a saturday night, this place was a welcome find - the salmon was tender, flavourful and slightly pinkish (just the way we like it), and the signature garlic chill complemented the fish nicely. will definitely be back for seconds!
while my boyfriend got a meatier option, I decided to settle for something sweet - blueberry banana waffles topped with vanilla ice cream and maple syrup. it was a perfect brunch to start a lazy sunday with! I especially liked that the batter was freshly made for each batch of waffles ordered, was really worth the wait :)
woke up a little earlier on sunday with my bf to get some jaffles at amber ember and decided to try them given the intriguing name (jaffles = pressed brioche buns toasted in cast iron). both the name and the taste were intriguing, we got the Nice To Meat You - it was nicely jam-packed with beef and pork and all and it was juicy, tasty and bursting with flavour till the last bite. definitely will come back for seconds!
finally got to eat out together after two months!! went for a nice lunch in the neighbourhood and iron supper club doesnβt disappoint - the pork chop was tender and flavourful, and we especially liked the potato wedges as sides, they were clearly freshly made from real potatoes and were not overly dry. happy to have chosen this place for our first post-circuit breaker date :)
almost forgot to mention the appetisers! donβt be fooled by the appearance of a small portion of this salmon starter - itβs not only both tasty but also just the right amount of filling for an appetiser :) worth the additional $8 top-up!
