One more spot to get baked till super soft sweet potatoes! This was very satisfying though I’m biased towards Don Don Donki’s because of the extra caramelisation when it blisters (also, it’s 10 cents cheaper). Still, this is a very good snack option when in VivoCity!

Although it may look dry, the rabbit ragu was actually tasty and coated the reginette ribbons with enough flavour. Do note that the flavours are on the lighter side. I wish the pasta was more al dente too.

Glad we only ordered the half portion for this as it was rather underseasoned. Some parmesan would have been nice (for both flavour and sauce binding purposes), or even just a dash of salt.

Two favourites out of From Mama Africa items we tried. I really liked the complexity the smoked fish added into former, while I loved the brightness of the goat curry thanks to the lemon’s acidity.

If you’re a mocha fan, try the spiced up version here with pink pepper!

If you’re too full for dessert, go for the coffee soft serve instead. Nice coffee punch and not too sweet!

If you don’t want too much milk in your coffee, this is the drink for you: Chilled Hokkaido milk with four shots of ristretto. Don’t worry, it’s not as intense as it sounds.

Liked the full bodied Cata Coffee’s El Naranjal a bit more than the lighter bodied, and slightly more acidic Homeground Coffee Roaster’s Fazenda Sao Jao.

Not the most spacious place but the super green vibe makes for a cosy spot to savour brews.

Would have preferred if the the noodles were a bit more qq, but I liked the tender chicken’s sweet-savoury braising sauce made using three of their five sauces (light soy sauce, dark soy sauce and sweet sauce); the other two (sesame oil, and black vinegar) are tossed with the noodles. There are three types of chilli sauces you can add on if you want to spice it up: Nyonya sambal, chicken rice chilli and prawn sambal.

The Signature Princess Chicken is $12.80 if ordered a la carte, but you get soup, kopi/tea and Umami Soft Serve with the 1-for-1 #BurppleBeyond set.

Decided to try the Deluxe Tendon since it’s exclusive to this outlet. In addition to the usual oozy egg, prawn and chicken, it also comes with snow crab, squid and conger eel (we thought this was a smaller unagi fillet as it still has that familiar brackish taste).

Would probably stick to the Special Tendon next time, although the chicken pieces seem thinner (and are thus less juicy) than I remember.

While I personally prefer the overall experience (food and service wise) at the original outlet, I like not having to wait in line for almost an hour more. Hopefully it’s just teething issues.

Beautifully grilled jowl slices that are super tender. Love the pickles and roasted rice powder added to the Thai-style sweet dipping sauce. Best part? This is an eligible dish for 1-for-1 with #BurppleBeyond!

The whiff of fish sauce was pretty strong when this arrived on our table. Flavour wise, this was more sweet than salty. We were worried this would be on the oily side, but it actually has quite a lot of zhup.

This was free thanks to the #BurppleBeyond 1-for-1 deal!
