Not my birthday though !😂 It's actually Sliced pork mee sua (wheat #vermicelli) #soup served w green vege, hard boiled egg and whatever u want to add. #ewtonebowlmeal
.
#Recipe #食谱 (serves 1):
.
Ingredients:
150ml stock (I used Mizkan pork bone and soy soup base which is pretty good for cooking such soups)
400ml water
1 tsp shallot oil
Pinch of salt and pepper
30-40g sliced pork marinated w 1 tsp light soya sauce, 1 tsp sesame oil, 1/2 tsp corn flour and pinch of pepper
1 bunch of mee sua
1 hard boiled egg
Some green vege (I used HK kailan)
.
Method:
1) Add stock and water to a pot and cook till it boils. Add shallot oil.
2) Add the HK kailan to the soup and cook for approx 4 mins (applicable to HK kailan only coz the stems are thicker).
3) Blanch the vege and place them in some ice water (the stems and vege of hk kailan will become very tender after that).
4) Add the marinated pork and once cooked, drain and set aside.
5) Add the mee sua and whatever else you using such as fishcakes, fishballs, etc. (I used cuttlefish balls).
7) Add salt and pepper if required and mix well.
8) Once noodles turn soft, add the meat back and off the flame. You can cook noodles longer if you prefer it to be more soggy type.
9) Serve with hard boiled egg, chilli padi and fried shallots.

Made a quick #sandwich on the go with this #caramelised #sugar on buttered #toasts stuffed w oozing smoked #cheese.
Yay to a short work week !!!!

Shall type out the recipe when I have time. Now too tired after a day of household chores ! 😂

Here's to a happy #Sunday #breakfast set w perfect soft boiled #eggs, #nasilemak #sandwich #toast and #milo gao siew dai ! @milosingapore
.
You can catch the making of nasi lemak sandwich toast in IG story using @recoltesg sandwich maker.
.
In addition, here's also to the perfect soft boiled eggs attempt again !
.
#Recipe #食谱 :
2 fresh eggs (55grams, room temperature)
To serve w dark soya sauce and pepper

Method :
1. Boil water. Place eggs in a small metal pot.
2. Add the just boiled water into the pot and cover.
3. Set it aside for 6 mins 10 secs.
4. Remove eggs. Set it aside for another 10-15 secs before cracking it w a small metal spoon.
Tip: I realise cracking it at the 1/4 end from the smaller tip of the egg has a better chance of keeping the whole yolk perfectly.

Made #mushroom #bakchormee for breakfast !! So glad it's finally #weekends again !
Contemplating if I should go ikea or the newly furbished century square. Which is better?

Good night all !!

So #cooking has to be more efficient. Made a Sliced #fish century egg #congee today with the rice cooker.
Added all into the cooker except the fish, egg and garnishes, and set to cook. Did my workout, shower and the congee is all ready after adding the fish to cook briefly.
Fully utilising time that is. 😂
