THIS. Is gonna be where I'm ordering my crabs next time. $30 for 3 absolutely fresh crabs, free delivery even on national day PH eve. Chili crab isn't like our usual taste, but totally delicious. With mantou, I can die happy and fat now.

Chili lobster t-something pasta is delicious! Small portion though, I could have eaten pasta followed by the ribeye all by myself if I had the money to afford it. Crowded on a Friday night, make reservation! Bespoke cocktails were popular with other rich customers too.

Food: So. Much. Better. Than. Marriott's. Afternoon tea set (have to take a shot at Marriott because they simply ridic). Everything is nice, my fav with the pulu hitam for sweet and ngoh hiang for savoury. Not a fan of the chendol pudding and the sweet green cream at the bottom left, no idea what's that but too sweet. Their executive chef came around tables to ask for feedback, and we were informed their menu changes every 3 months, and this peranakan theme is the first day today on 1 aug (we were actually here to try the previous menu but oh well). Next one would be festive theme one in Nov, and I'll be back to try. Sad that I missed out the last one though, lychee rose macaron plz come back.

Service: Host and service staff was as attentive as they can since they seem short handed with an almost full lounge. Very polite as well. One thing, first seating for afternoon tea is 1pm, but we ordered at 1.10pm and only received the food at 1.45pm? Its the same for most of the tables which was quite slow service from the kitchen considering we were supposed to clear the table for second seating by 3.30pm. We ordered ala carte after so we sat on longer and it didn't affect my experience, just a point that I noted.

Ambience: I love hotels with their far apart tables and high ceiling, so the noise level is never too loud, nice to chill and chat (esp impt when the waiting time is long HAHA)

Watched the Korean variety show and craved for gorgonzola and amatriciana with burrata for the longest time. Came here to try and realized I really suit Asian flavour more, need to fall back to vongole and aglio olio LOL Gorgonzola is very strong on cheese flavour, need to drink water with it. Amatriciana is nice!

very nice cafe, cosy and quiet. I like that their music is very soft, so everyone don't have to talk loudly over it. yuzu latte was nice, and hojicha latte a tad too sweet. my pound cake was hilariously tiny at 3.90 but delicious so no complain there, just had a good laugh over it.

I'd like to start with the good - the staff were attentive and friendly. The ambience is nice for chilling, for relaxing afternoon with friends. That's about all the good.

Now onto the bad. I wasn't expecting fanciful food at this super affordable price point, but come on Marriott you can do better than this. I can walk down to Four Leaves at taka and gather the same exact food provided in the high tea set and the quality will be 3x better than what they served. All high tea set are pre-packed and cling wrapped and kept in the fridge to be served at 2pm. Sandwiches are soggy cause of the tomatoes and cucumbers. (Btw the sandwich has cucumber in it, and nothing else?! It's literally cucumber and bread) Scones are dry. Egg tarts are too sweet. Red velvet cupcake and the macaroons are pure colourings and sugar with no other taste than overwhelmingly sweet. The best thing of it all was the twg tea hahaha.

First review in burpple, because please if anyone wants to come here for the afternoon tea set (even at the discounted burpple price), you gotta reconsider.
(Oh and photo is not updated, I didn't take any photos so I grabbed it off the Google image results so please don't refer to that.)
