I finally understood why holiday inn has to price their high tea set at such an affordable price ($45++ for 2). Their ambience is a major setback, with no high ceilings, not much natural sunlight setting, you feel less atas and chill at a typical hotel setting.
Service was great, in fact one of the better ones I've experienced. Very timely with clearing of plates, not short-handed at all. Food wise it's actually quite nice, similar to their parent IHG standard, and drinks are free flow!
Nonetheless, even with a less comfortable setting, it still wins Marriott with all their service and good standards.
Went for their famous $38++ for 15 courses omakase. It was nice though I probably wouldn't go back again cause I didn't feel full from supposedly 15 courses and it added to $90 for 2. It was all tiny cute portions, the photo of 4 sushi itself is already 4 courses. I particularly enjoy the cheesecake dessert in the form of cheese (frEaKiNg cUtE?!?). Great experience, and the restaurant seemed really popular as well.
Watched the Korean variety show and craved for gorgonzola and amatriciana with burrata for the longest time. Came here to try and realized I really suit Asian flavour more, need to fall back to vongole and aglio olio LOL Gorgonzola is very strong on cheese flavour, need to drink water with it. Amatriciana is nice!
