So I’m not into greasy stuffs but I decided to give the famed curry rice a try and didn’t regret it! It was delicious, it looks thick but doesn’t taste as thick as expected. Some may say it’s quite thin but it’s still nicelt flavorful so I think it’s not much of a problem. Something that can be recommended to tourists!
Their cheese tarts are NICE! Tbh it ceased away my worry that B**E is closing down, this one is comparable! So nice!
This was a nice Egg-Benedict-like dish! It had English Muffins as the base just like egg benedicts, on top are portobello mushrooms, delicious salty ham, spinach, and of course egg with runny yolk. On the side is salad consisting of broccoli, tomatoes, rocket, lotus roots, etc seasoned with sesame dressing that was towards the sweet side but I say it goes really well with the saltier things on top of the muffin
Their pistachio gelato was delicious and comes in a generous portion! The pistachio is comparable to the best pistachio gelatos out there!
Protein: Donburi Salmon
2 veggies: Broccoli & Mushrooms, Beetroot & Carrots
Base: Brown Rice
1 Salad : Bean Salad
1 Topping: furikake
1 Sauce: Miso Caramel
Overall a very nourishing bowl that’s delicious as well!
Priced at SGD 17.5 but everything on it was generous in portion especially the salmon
Breaded chicken topped with grated yam and vegetables in hot pot
The whole dish was very comforting and tasty! I actually finished the whole soup!
Veggies include some carrots, potato, horenzo, onions. I added a Gokoku (multigrain) rice for ($2)
I do expect better chicken-batter ratio coming from Ootoya. Btw I also expected chicken breast but I think this one is a matter of personal preference.
I came during lunch time and it took quite long for my meal to come. It was quite busy but I do think service can be better
Brioche was perfectly soaky and soft, coated with crunchy cornflakes crust that totally made this french toast different from other french toasts.
What made this french toast outstanding, however, wasn’t the unique crunchiness alone! It was also accompanied by well executed toppings. The creme Chantily on top was nice and smooth, just mildly sweet. The fresh berries were fresh and adds some juicy tangy flavor.
Served separately are fragrant maple syrup and unsalted butter topped with dashes of salt so they can be suited to your palate. I really like adding some butter and salt, adds a buttery flavor to the toast and pleasant hints of saltiness!
Totally recommending this dish!
Impressed bc this is comparable to the ones i tried in the original matcha country: Japan! Also very impressed with the ambience, super tranquil, very recommended for a relaxing afternoon break.
At 14.80, this is totally value for money! Portion quite generous, I love love the unagi sauce, the unagi was also cooked well.
Damn shiok japanese right here!
this is SOME GOOD SANDWICH!
Didn’t expect that I would be this impressed by this sandwich
Flavor is towards the salty side coming from different kinds of ham and cheese, as well as sourness from pickled veggies. These strong flavors are balanced out by the fresh veggies like lettuce. A recommended sandwich!
Great pastry, fine quality chocolate within. Would definitely love it even more if it has more chocolate inside
Complete in both taste and texture, must try for chocolate lovers!
Crisp from the base, smooth velvety chocolate mousse, spongy genoise, luscious caramel, everything is very balanced in terms of flavors too, love the quite intense chocolate that goes well with the caramel. definitely one of the best modern chocolate cakes I’ve ever had!
