If you are staying around the North area and looking for a decent air-conditioned zichar dinner, this is the place to be! Their dim sum menu is not available at night (will try it one day and update!), but surprisingly their main dishes did not disappoint! ๐๐ป3 dishes for $23. Salted egg pork ribs (fried) was an interesting dish but really good(tho quite few pieces). I loved their ไธ่่- the soupy sauce is very fragrant! Lastly, the fried rice. Tasty with a slight burnt wok taste ๐ really a good place to enjoy comfort Chinese food in air-con in the north!! ๐ Rating: 4/5
Guys, I know the North has very few nice dessert choices....I feel you. But fret not, found this place which really can quite hit the spot for dessert lovers out there! It's located at Jalan Tampang, the shop building opposite the famous bai mee fen coffee shop. Both desserts bought were delish. The first one was durian crispy pancake. The crispness of the pancake was their selling point! Durian was also, yummy, as usual. ๐๐ป๐๐ป next was the matcha waffles. Their selling point for this was in their waffle! Crispy and good! Matcha ice cream not real matcha tho. Anyhow, I must say this dessert place surprised me! ๐paid $13.90 for the two desserts. A bit pricy for the location, but nevertheless worth a try! ๐๐
Finally got to taste this monster-sized curry dish ๐ฎ We got the seafood $25++ combo curry that can be shared between two people- there's pork katsu, tempura, fried fish and pork shabu-shabu. Basically a v fried dish with curry (the amount of spiciness depends on how much of that red sauce thing they put. The curry itself is not spicy). I liked the fried fish :) overall, the dish was so-so. If you want quality, other jap restaurants(like saboten!) might be a better choice. If you are a hungry monster and need smth huge to fill, this would be good ๐๐ปRating : 3/5
Visited this cafe at changi village upon recommendation from an Eastie :) the food is really good?! ๐๐ป the above pic is the cheeseburger- and it's packed with a punch! The strong cheesey flavour paired with the beef was the winner for this dish! The bottom dish is the salted egg cream seafood pasta. Strong salted egg taste and big prawns served! ๐๐ปAnother dish you can try is their pork belly dish. Worth every single bite! And what's more, the branch here is selling ALL mains at 1 for 1 ALL DAY!!! ๐ฑ so we paid only ard $13-$16 each person. Gotta eat 'em all! ๐ค๐
I FINALLY๐ฑ got to try this place that has been picking up popularity because of it's soft serve and neh neh pop (on left;as it is called) ice cream. For the matcha soft serve, it was good that it was not sweet and very rich in matcha flavour! But it had quite a beady texture to it I'm not sure how to explain. (I prefer the one at bugis plus-more milky!)However, I really loved the other one! It had a bit of sesame flavour at first, then it was yummy green tea and chocolate flavour with Gula Melaka in the middle(I think it was that or caramel?) ๐ Minus points was that it was really quite hard to find the place ๐ it's located at the extension side of icon village so do look out for it. Overall damage ($8+$5.90=13.90)-quite pricy. Good to try at least once โบ๏ธ
One of the most awesome beef hor fun I've tasted, and also simply because the amount of beef >>> amount of hor fun ๐ at $5 per plate, you're guaranteed to be filled up! Just the right amount and consistency of the gravy ๐๐ป also, if you are sharing with a group, do try their ่พ้ ฑ้ธก(prawn paste chicken/har jeong gai). Yum yum to the tum tum tho it can be a little oily (and sinful ๐ )
Came here to try the Avocado Soft Serve (also $2) and couldnโt resist sampling this new flavour. ๐ So glad we gave in to our greediness because this was better than the avocado!
I anticipated it to taste like melon candy, but their use of real fruits was evident in the milkshake-like flavour sans the cloying sweetness.
Totes deserving of joining Petitllao, Mr Beanโs soy milk soft serve, and Amasoyโs matcha soy milk soft serve in my reliable sweet cheap thrills library. ๐
Yumz! Love the truffle mushroom taste of this burger! The beef was medium well and it was pretty tasty. Would love it to be juicier though, but the dish was not too bad. Very filling I must say! If you want something more exciting other than their burgers, try their air waffles they call it, esp the kimchi fried chicken waffle! ๐๐ป A decent meal at abt $30 :)
If you are looking for a relatively decent place to eat, go Thai at Siam kitchen! They serve really tasty Thai dishes. Ate this seafood Phad Thai for $11.90! Though the were small and it was quite pricy, it was still quite tasty! Their sweet sour fish rice (I think that's what it's called) and green curry chicken were also yummy! According to my friend, it tastes better than Thai express! However, total damage for 2 people was $49 for three dishes (two mains and we shared one other dish) and one drink.
This is delish. Been here a few times and their desserts never fail. Their durian desserts are their best sellers! They have a whole lot of other shaved ice desserts too including mango and chocolate, as well as traditional hot/cold Chinese desserts. This place is a to-go place if you're hitting the streets of Bugis! Also, it's a great treat at $8.50 for a weather as humid as this! โ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธ
This is really not bad. We had the dish Best of Both Worlds which includes one piece of fish with salted eggyolk sauce and the other with chilli crab sauce. I love how their batter was done. It was flavourful and crunchy without being too oily. Preferred the salted egg yolk one tho. Also, the fries were pretty addictive! They added some spice to it which made it ๐๐ป crispy and good!The other sides were not that great. Don't bother to get the sides, get the main deal! Get the fish! ๐๐ป
Finally went to this place to give their food a shot. Most impressed with the Kimchi Cheese Fries(more so the cheese). Very tasty and addictive! Set lunch comes with a choice of sides (which includes the fries) or u can get it at ala carte price of $7.90+. This place has no service charge so yay all the more! Ate their beef starter which would never go wrong. Their matcha lava cake was so so as compared to their matcha ice cream ๐๐ป
