Went to the Taste Orchard outlet and have plenty of seats not just for this eatery, but other eatery around the area.
The mochi is really soft and flavourful. Peanut powder was bit too generous for me but good for those who like peanut.
Overall, I think is good and would come and try their mochi
First known this place for its advertised quality food at hawker price. I was anticipated for that
However, upon trying it, I feel that the rice was dry due to lack of teriyaki sauce and the salmon was normal.
Overall, nothing to shout about
Had the blueberry shortcake, yuzu raspberry & uji matcha cheesecake
The blueberry shortcake & yuzu raspberry is normal but the uji matcha cheesecake is the highlight. Matcha taste is strong and the cake itself is crunchy
Chance upon this dim sum place at Amara and how they displace their food is very unique with those plant, tree truck display and even from the food design wise.
Really love the food although it is not cheap but is company lunch so I do not feel the pain
Had the pork bowl lunch set ($19.80++) and it was the best among all I have tried so far.
Pork is not salty and and flavourful. Also, not forgetting the 2-3 free flow sides that we can have. Really delicious and worth it
Had the chicken cutlet ($9.50) & salmon mentaiko bowl ($10.50).
I would say the mentaiko was pretty generous and the terikayi sauce drenched on the rice helped make the rice moist and not dry.
Would not mind going back for more
Ordered their Naan Set A ($11) and I like that the naan is hot and crispy.
Naan also has sesame seed on it which added the fragrance of the naan.
For the price and the portion, I would say it is quite worth it
They had multiple dark chocolate with different richess.
Ordered their 88% dark chocolate (+1) & Japanese Matcha to level up the richess.
Dark chocolate was really rich in flavour & matcha balance it out.
I like that the server pay attention to detail such as when I am looking for tissue and looking for cups.
Overall, I like the environment and the service.
Had the Pork Udon with egg and rice with assorted tempura (Kakiage & Snow cream croquette).
I like that they provide a few free condiments such as tempura bits & seaweed which you can add to your udon or rice like me to further enhance the meal.
Being in a town area, the food here is affordable which explain the queue outside.
Had the Earl Grey Milk Tea Fatcaron and Pistacho Dirty Latte.
The Earl Grey Milk Tea Fatcaron was good as it is not sweet like usual macron that is available in the market. The Earl Grey is strong in taste for people that like strong flavour.
Pistacho drink wise, is too nutty for me and viscous. I would expect it to have a more smooth texture for a drink.
Came to Hougang to try the proclaimed Best Rated Fish Soup and surely it didn't disappoint.
Had the $6 Fried Fish Soup and the amount of fried fish is generous. It is likely made by themselves instead of store bought as it is unique. Also, I like that the fried fish is seperately from the soup.
Overall, I would not mind coming here for it again.
Have this huge amount of mutto Biryani ($9) and it was very filling. Worth the $9 at a standalone restaurant
