Must have when you’re at Bukit Timah Food Centre. The Gula Melaka is very good. Even though we asked for less sugar, it still tasted absolutely divine!
A huge pot of herbal chicken soup served with an assortment of mushrooms and half a chicken. This can be found at the hawker centre called “Meetup @ 13” next to a famous stall that sells duck rice and wanton mee.
Brown rice was mixed into the fried rice for the health conscious and the poached egg, with runny yolk and white, was slow-cooked at exactly 61.7°C (according to the thermometer displayed prominently at the stall). Grilled pork itself was sliced too thickly and tasted too tough to chew.
Springy noodles with a generous serving of minced pork. But overall, this meal was unremarkable.
Decent portion and reasonable price point for the throng of hungry students. The chicken itself, however, was overcooked and dry.
This is a $4 plate with additional ingredients (mob $2). I thought it was rather pricey as there were only 5 prawns in total and bits of sotong. It was served in a wet, tasty broth however, and the accompanying chilli was to die for!
Tender chicken breast meat, springy noodles, potatoes, bean sprouts and tau pok soaked in savoury curry soup that had the right consistency - not too spicy or too thick. We will definitely return for more!
Had the kalamansi plum tea and the cloud tea. Both were refreshing! Not bad at all!
Tasty! But we found the dish far too oily. I remember enjoying Mad About Garlic a lot more when it first opened in Singapore. The standards seem to have fallen. All in all, it felt like we were having a meal at the local Kopitiam.
Chicken was enjoyable - tender, well grilled and of a sizeable portion. Risotto had a good texture but tasted bland throughout. All in all, the dish didn’t feel like it was worth the price without the 1-for-1 deal.
Our maiden Burpple Beyond redemption used here! And the absence of GST or service charge made the deal so much sweeter!Served with a sizeable portion of fries, the Wagyu beef itself was juicy and flavourful. Quaint and cosy ambience, friendly staff and great service. An overall satisfying experience.
Succulent crispy chicken cutlet and a decent portion of rice and coleslaw, topped with a spicy and satisfying Hainanese curry gravy - great value for $4.50!
