minimum order w burpple is a medium hawaiian acai bowl. deal is applicable to both acai & pittaya which is great! only sauce applicable for burpple is honey so everything else is +$1. we bought the medium hawaiian acai bowl & medium fruity acai bowl. found the acai abit icy & diluted? average lor. less sweet compared to other acai shops but i guess that makes it healthier. felt that the topping:acai ratio was abit off also with way more acai than toppings - if that's your thing. i liked that they gave passionfruit though! pretty affordable w burpple & a pretty generous portion too ππ»
a distance from bugis mrt, whiskdom is not a place we'd visit again albeit the great service (they also let us redeem >1 deal for 3 pax!). the ham bagel was just an expensive version of macdonald's breakfast mcmuffin. the otah one had quite a substantial patty but you could really just make that at home yourself. the otah was good though! the kimchi one was okay, nothing impressive, j meh. felt that the bagel was abit tough though? the egg one was pretty good! flavour was significantly better than the rest. the size for the price however, the bagelry opposite might just be more worth it. without burpple beyond, i don't think we'll return.
husk is located in a pretty ulu mall & i wouldn't say that it's worth trying to find it. went there during dinnertime & only 1 diner was there. the staff were very friendly & quick to serve us though! ordered the lemak chicken ($12.50 nett) & grilled chicken ($9.80 nett) for dinner. my friend who had the grilled chicken rated it 7/10 while i found mine mediocre at best. the lemak sauce smelt fragrant but was alright only. it was on the spicy side though! the chicken thigh was also quite skinny. the sweet chilli was also average and the rice was a little lacking in coconut fragrance. the egg was a japanese onsen egg that was slightly overdone? appreciate the innovation/fusion but the nasi lemak would have probably paired better with a fried sunny side up. wouldn't visit again but wasn't too expensive after burpple 1 for 1 but you could probably get better at your area's coffeeshop for cheaper.
was quite hard to find as there was no unit 114 but it's this shop that says 112-116. the coffee was kinda disappointing, esp the hot expresso we ordered - taste of coffee was sooo mild it was almost like hot milk. the latte was as mid as it gets without much coffee fragrance or milkiness. wouldn't come back again even with burpple beyond. service was rly good though!
great option if you're craving lotsa carbs! got the hot & spicy sichuan pork belly noodles ($12.50++) & dry beef noodles with mushroom sauce ($12.90++). the sichuan pork belly noodles had generous servings of pork belly & the soup had a small kick with the right amount off suan cai (picked veg) flavour. the dry beef noodles came with tomato soup on the side that tasted v similar to HDL's! can help yourself to their chilli oil also. staff were v attentive & welcoming to burpple users. total final damage was $15.18 nett for both bowls! would be back to try more π«Άπ»
the seafood tomyum pasta ($20.90++) had a strong tomyum taste but was a little on the salty side! came with 2 prawns & 2 large mussels. rly enjoyed that! the crab aglio olio ($18.90++) was a little bit of a miss - think they used shredded canned crab? but the tobiko provided an interesting texture when chewing the pasta! both were aldante & nicely cooked. used burpple 1 for 1 & added on one truffle fries (paid full price $14.90++). portion of fries was generous & came with a truffle mayo dip! most enjoyed item of the dinner. total bill came to $42 after discount. great service too!
ps: waitress told us the menu attached to the burpple deal is pretty outdated & there were significant differences in the "main course" options compared to their current menu. may wanna check their current menu before going down!
basically a deconstructed vietnamese rice paper spring roll in a bowl! it's rly what you see is what you get nothing special about it but it's still a decently pleasant & filling meal. prices are rly affordable too ($10.80 nett for the pork bowl & $9.80 nett for the chicken bowl) so that's a winning factor π loved the coffee ($4.60)!!!
we got the ratchada pork bowl ($9.80+) & the pork came cooked till crispy! personally i enjoyed it v much & would totally return for it, esp at this price point after burpple 1 for 1. the bowl also contained a good variety of ingredients and the rice was fluffy and drizzled with gravy. portions were generous too. however, my friend didn't enjoy it as much as the crispiness of the meat didn't suit her palate. all in all, it really boils down to personal preference but it's not expensive to give it a try anyway!
ordered the garlic ragu fettucine & garlic truffle carbonara for $26++ each! portions were decent but definitely not $26 worth. the taste was not bad in terms of flavour but the truffle carbonara lacked the truffle taste. pastas were done well with both being al dante. for an eatery priding themselves on "garlic", the pastas lacked that garlicky aroma although we did find whole garlic pieces in them. perhaps we would come back for the pizzas the next round, hopefully they would be better! 6.5/10
no particular wow factor about this place but it was a pretty cosy cafe w not many patrons & they had comfy sofa seats which made it a nice quiet hangout spot. the waffles ($5.20) were fluffy and sweet but not crispy. had a choice of chocolate, maple or caramel for the waffles. the passionfruit sorbet ($4.50) was sour and flavourful but didn't really taste like passionfruit. the cookies & cream ice cream was good. redeemed burpple on the ice cream so our total bill was only $9.70! the staff were really helpful and nice too π
we were filling peckish so we just popped by fatburger to redeem this deal. staff was welcoming to burpple beyond redemptions so we got a 1 for 1 sides. their sides include: skinny fries ($4.90), fat fries ($4.90), sweet potato fries ($6.90), onion rings ($6.90) and chilli cheese fries ($6.90). we got the onion rings & chilli cheese fries, and they were made fresh so we got them hot! the onion rings were really good - they used the real onions battered in their batter, rather than those frozen breaded ones so rly 10/10. their chilli cheese fries were generous & had a spicy kick but wished there was a little more nacho cheese/cheese was a little more melted! still 8/10 ππ»
rly enjoyed the nice & crispy waffles ($7)! staff told us we could have the 1 for 1 single scoop gelato only (not sure why 1 for 1 waffles not applicable) but that's ok! the aphrodite flavoured ice cream (has blue cheese & chocolate) was super bold & chocolatey, while the sunset lavender was really flowery & creamy. each scoop was $5 so we spent a total of $12 for this & we rly loved it! we wanted the croffles ($6) too but they only sell that on sundays :-( can also guess the mystery flavour of the month for a free scoop of ice cream!!
