Most memorable of the bowls that we tried. Beef was tender and flavourful, but probably needed to be less done. Nice touch with the onsen egg, which always ties a rice bowl together. Overall a decent bowl, but not something I would return specially for.

Expect a brownie that’s more on the fudgey side. Chocolate sauce was extremely decadent — rich and smooth without being to sweet. Picked toasted almond and quinoa crunch as our toppings, and we liked the latter very much! Provided a nutty and crunchy contrast to this gooey plate. The Banana Walnut ice cream is on was fragrant and light, which paired well with the brownie as well.

Kind Kones serves up gluten-free, vegan, all natural and unprocessed ice creams.

Liked the balance in flavour and smooth texture of the Salted Choc Chip! Blue Planet was interesting - consists of almond milk, cashew milk, coconut milk, butterfly pea flower, vanilla and matcha cake. Would totally come back for the former again, but the latter not so much, as the coconut taste was a little strong for me. Do note that most of the ice creams harbour quite a strong coconut aftertaste here.

Preserved vege, mustard leaves and mixed vegetables tucked away nicely in a Chinese flatbread made from sticking these flat doughs against the inner surface of oven-esque earthen jars. Flavours were good, and texture of the flatbread was slightly flaky whilst retaining a bite. Value for money healthyish snack. I’m already planning my next visit here heh.

Comfort in a cup. Fresh steamed milk which balanced out the strong bitter matcha notes just a tad — just how I like it.

Fantastic mala soup! I rarely have mala in soup form, but this spot has mastered it. Plenty of fresh ingredients to pick from, and the soup (we picked xiao la) was fragrant, spicy and numbing without being too overbearing — essentially, it retained a good mala flavour without making me feel like I was choking on the spice. Do note that this kiosk does takeaway only. Will come back again for sure!

Beef steak with teriyaki ginger sauce. Flavour was good, but it was a little too done for me. Would suggest getting the foolproof cod fish instead if you’re planning to dine here!

Part of its signature menu, this charcoal grilled miso-marinated cod fish was simply divine. Flaky, slightly oily, tender and grilled to a smoky char which balanced out the sweetness of the miso really nicely. I suggest consuming this oily fish with intermittent bites of that tangy white radish purée to cleanse the palate, but don’t worry about not finishing your dish — you absolutely will.

Had the American poke bowl here, which is essentially Pink Fish’s take on a Hawaiian poke in a creamy chilli marinade. Salmon sashimi was fresh, no complains there. Felt that the greens were thrown together a little haphazardly and could’ve been tossed in that slightly spicy, creamy dressing a little more evenly though. Flavours worked well in this, but would’ve really liked a more substantial portion of salmon!

Casual Norwegian dine and go chain Pink Fish has opened its first overseas outlet at Jewel! This spot specialises in salmon, and features it in every dish in its menu. Had the European soup — creamy, with fresh chunks of salmon, dill and fennel. Salmon was really fresh! A pretty satisfying meal on its own, if you’re in a rush. Service was fast as well. Would’ve been nice if portion size was a little bigger, but I wouldn’t mind having this again!

Deep fried diced chicken with chopped dried chillies, cashews, chives and Sichuan peppercorn served with crunchy youtiao fritters topped with maple syrup. Spicy, fragrant, super sinful and shiok.

Keisuke group has done it again! Would you just look at this beauty — moist, flaky, slightly oily and a little smoky. Pair this with the perfectly cooked pearl rice here (remember to top it with the complimentary onsen egg) and this makes for a perfect lunch.
