Pretty good tzechar at a pretty good price point ππ»ππ» We particularly loved the Yam Ring ($18.80+) that was really well done! And came chocked full of ingredients like fried chicken, assorted vegetables and cashew nuts! Other noteworthy dishes were the 4 Heavenly Kings Vegetable ($12.80+) (really nice brinjal, French beans, lady fingers and petai stir-fried in sambal sauce), Pai Gu Wang ($12.80+) (can never go wrong heh) and Prawn Balls ($11.80+) (really crisp and not too oily!). The Deep Fried Pork and Garlic ($14.80+), as well as Prawn Egg ($9.80+), were pretty alright but definitely paled in comparison to the others. Satisfying meal and great for families (even with extended ones)! ππ
This was so so so good?!??? Havenβt had such good quality durian in a while and this is exactly what every durian should aspire to be??? Tbh the Jin Feng easily surpasses all durians, and the MSW is just unnecessarily fantastic. But really, this batch of durian was to die for - Jin Feng was creamy and rich with just a slight tinge of sweetness while the MSW was so full in flavour with just the right amount of bitternessππ Good packaging and efficient service (we ordered that morning, and collected it the same afternoon) π―π―
Pretty average typical tzechar food at a slightly better price ππ»ππ» Bamboo chicken (1 whole chicken) came with a really nice ginger sauce, but didnβt quite like the way they cut the chicken that made it hard to eat with the bones and all. French beans with sambal (L) was actually really yummy and flavourful! Fu Rong Egg (M) and Claypot Tofu (M) were pretty decent! Average tzechar in a quiet neighborhood at a good price ππ»ππ»
This tastes just as good as it looks!! ππ Highlight of the dish has got to be the thiccc juicy strip of pork with such a succulent layer of fat - really so so good omg. Along with 2 substantial stacks of tonkatsu pork, this dish was actually really filling for 2 pax! (Good for 2-3 pax imo!) Came with 4 different sauces - house made brown sauce, chili sauce and scallion sauce, with tartar sauce too for the tonkatsu pork! Fantastic service with attentive servers who patiently explained components of the dish and restaurant was homely - perfect for families! Sides of vegetable and potato wedges were pretty average, but the meat was definitely the star of the show. Esp with eatigoβs 50%, definitely do give this a try ππ»ππ»
Pretty worth with tea set voucher on Fave ($10.50)! Chocolate sponge layer was nicely moist and dense, and cream wasnβt too cloying, actually quite liked the random berries interspersed in the cake that gave it a unique touch! ππ Toppings tasted a little artificial but overall still a pretty good cake! Coffee was decent too! Best of all was the environment - well-lit spacious cafe with huge tables, water and WiFi provided, definitely ideal if you need a quiet place to study/get some work done ππ»ππ»
Decadent rich luscious dark chocolate - what more can one ask for in a cake! ππ Just as good as I remembered it to be, though the one at Dempsey might be a little less dry, but still very very satisfying with every bite! Perfect with the dark chocolate sauce and a scoop of vanilla ice cream ππ»ππ» PSA selected cakes and tarts go for 50% after 10pm so definitely drop by for some after dinner desserts ππ
In contrast to their burgers, this dish looked underwhelming but was surprisingly nice taste wise! Really liked the eggy cream sauce, though would have preferred it less watery, but it went nicely with the spaghetti and shredded crab meat. Definitely a simpler version of the usual crab meat pasta, but value for money with eatigoβs 50% off (wouldnβt pay full price for it). Nice quiet cafe in the middle of nowhere, and there are tables (limited indoor seats but more outdoor seats available) and plugs available, but water is not provided.
Presentation and taste was pretty nice, but was slightly disappointed as I was promised βcrispy chicken cutlet coated in salted eggβ but this dish was neither of both βΉοΈβΉοΈ The chicken patty resembled a teriyaki chicken patty more than a crispy fried chicken cutlet, and there was no trace of salted egg sauce to be found. However, that being said, this is still a pretty average burger and really value at this price point (esp with Eatigoβs 50% off)! Nice quiet cafe in the middle of nowhere, and there are tables (limited indoor seats but more outdoor seats available) and plugs available, but water is not provided.
Was slightly disappointed after joining the long queue here as this was a pretty average bowl of prawn mee ($3.50/5). Donβt get me wrong - the broth was still flavourful with generous servings of lean pork, prawns, fishcake and half a boiled egg at this price point! But felt that the broth was slightly lacklustre, and definitely prefer the one at Malaysia Boleh much more π₯π₯
High hopes from the good reviews and long waiting time (~30 min on a weekday afternoon), and thankfully this didnβt disappoint! Loved the huge cubes of radish that was tastefully fried with golden brown egg! And comes in a variety of sizes ($2.50/3/4/5) with new faces of young hawkers manning the stall! Only gripe with this plate of goodness would be the lack of chye poh, but other than that a pretty well fried plate of carrot cake! ππ»ππ»
Lovely find in a quaint neighborhood! Really value for money with their weekday afternoon tea set ($10) that comes with either a slice of cake or truffle fries, with a choice of coffee or tea! Usually not a fan of cream cakes, but their Ondeh-Ondeh cake (UP $8) surprised me pleasantly with its moist fragrant sponge layers interspersed nicely with just the right amount of cream that was nicely buttery yet not too cloying ππ Tried their Earl Grey Lavender tea (UP $6.50) that comes in a pot, and loved the thoughtfulness and initiative of the staff to serve us 2 cups to share ππ»ππ» Nice cafe to chill with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, with water and WiFi provided and limited charging plugs.
Tried a cup of their house blend (Pen & Pencil) and a cup of their single origin (Lufa Papua New Guinea), and my vote goes to the...houseblend! Love the strong rich aromatic nutty flavour that complemented the milkiness beautifully, and it was really a good cup of coffee! Nice chill ambience with decent brunch food but skip their pastries!
