Had a wedding banquet lunch here and it was such a delight! Pretty yummy typical Chinese banquet with such an amazing view from the 65th floor π€―π€― Food was generally pretty average with premium ingredients (sea cucumber, steamed sea bass, roasted duck with sweet plum sauce), but shoutout to the Steamed Drunken Prawns in Herbal Broth for those plump juicy fresh prawns with that thick herbally soup that was absolutely bursting with flavour! Also, it helped that they served up my favourite chinese dessert - Yam Paste! π₯°π₯° Definitely a very nice location to have a fancy treat with such a fantastic view ππ»ππ»
Pistachio (premium) was definitely my favourite of the lot, with Ispahan (lychee, raspberry, rose) and Chocolate Sorbet tied at close seconds and Buttermilk Rhubarb being not too bad as well! ππ Love the texture and flavours at this new ice cream parlour with innovative flavours that work really nicely! Loved that the gelato isnβt too sweet, which really brings out the richness of each flavour, and the creamy milky texture is definitely on point! Will be back to try the sold-out flavours, as well as their much raved comes! ππ»ππ»
This was not too bad with a pretty nice citrusy tartness to cut all the sweetness from the other cakes! Like the compact biscuit layer that was not too thick and not too thin, and topped with even more cookie crumbs! PSA their cakes go for 50% off after 2130!!
A home-baked spiced carrot cake, topped in classic cream cheese frosting and sugar-coated walnuts! Liked that the sponge layer was dense and chocked full of surprise ingredients (like walnuts, dates etc), but it was a little dry and the cream cheese to cake ratio was definitely very very off ππ Not one of their better cakes, definitely try their chocolate blackout cake or their golden banana butterscotch cake instead π₯°π₯° PSA their cakes go for 50% off after 2130!!
Ripe banana and chocolate chip cake, drizzled with a generous dose of our homemade butterscotch sauce π€€π€€ Absolutely loved this one! Great alternative to the usual sticky date pudding with a slice of soft fluffy fragrant banana cake and that butterscotch sauce was to die for (and also what was reminiscent of the sticky date pudding), paired with a scoop of delightful vanilla ice cream, this will definitely be my go-to dessert (second only to their chocolate blackout cake)! ππ PSA their cakes go for 50% off after 2130!!
Was initially very skeptical about the pancake, but it was surprisingly quite nice! Definitely not one of the best around, but liked that the edges was crispy and it came with soooo much seafood like sotong, prawns etc! π€€π€€ More doughy and thicker than the usual sold elsewhere, this was priced rather highly compared to their other dishes (
Satisfying enough to curb any korean craving one might have at this price point and setting! Situated at a food centre with competitive prices (without service charge), donβt come in with too unreasonable expectations and youβll definitely be well satisfied with your meal ππ Army stew looked a little small for 2 pax, but comes chocked full of ingredients like pork, sausage, luncheon meat, meatballs, topokki, ramen noodles (but was like 1 pack?), kimchi, tofu and topped with a slice of cheese! Sides, or rather side, of kimchi was rather mediocre. But definitely loving the chill ambience set at the rooftop of Beauty World Centre with friendly service and reasonably priced korean food for once ππ»ππ»
Yum??? Not the best tiramisu around but definitely above average! Love the lightness of the mascarpone cream layer interspersed with light bits of sponge cake! π€€π€€ Would have preferred a stronger liquor taste, but this was definitely a very nice way to end the meal ππ»ππ»
Braised beef cheeks was fork-tender and truly melt-in your-mouth good! Simmered in red wine sauce, this was definitely a nicely done beef cheek with a good proportion of collagenous and fatty parts! Wished that the flavour of the sauce could have been more hearty and richer, with stronger hints of red wine, and the mashed parsnip could seasoned to match the roasted carrots and tomatoes better! Overall, definitely a satisfying beef cheek though a little pricey, but thank goodness for their lunch time 1-for-1 special or 50% off on eatigo! ππ»ππ»
Homemade spinach fettuccine with chicken breast, sun-dried tomatoes and mozzarella cubes in pesto Genovese sauce π€€π€€ This was actually pretty darn good (even with the olives that actually tasted pretty fine though I hate olives)! Loved that the fettuccine was al dente and had such a nice bite to it, which is rare amidst all the overdone fettuccines around, and the tongue of spinach went really well with the pesto sauce that wasnβt overly cloying too! Generous serving of ingredients with a shout-out to the sun-dried tomatoes that gave it a nice twang, though would have appreciated a slightly less dry cut of chicken. Overall, a nice Italian Restaurant that dishes good pizzas and pastas, with 1-for-1 deals at lunch or 50% deals on Eatigo! ππ»ππ»
Pretty yummy and cute little rice set that comes with ayam bumbu rujak (curry chicken that was really fragrant and rich in flavour), bergedil (delightful potato patty that was crisp on the outside and mushy soft on the inside), potato peanut, pickles (decent achar though could be better), kerupuk and sambal terasi (was truly very very spicy)! Comes with a small mountain of yellow turmeric rice that was cutely topped with a little pandan leaf cap ππ Pretty satisfying set that is even more value with eatigoβs 50%! ππ»ππ»
Definitely a win just from side dishes alone! Though sides were a little on the salty side, but amazing amazing variety with sausages, beancurd skin, kimchi tofu, omelette, coleslaw salad, potato salad, kimchi and spinach π₯°π₯° You can be assured of a hearty meal when dining here for sure ππ»ππ»
