The best part of the Hakumai Bento ($58) in my opinion is this angel hair pasta topped with fresh melt in your mouth uni. The flavours of the uni really added an extra richness to the already flavoursome pasta which i really like.
I gotta say everything about this pizza is delicious. Break open the ball of burrata cheese and spread it over the entire pizza to fully enjoy it.
The standout to me is the pizza crust which was crispy on the outside but slightly fluffy on the inside. I feel they might have used a different kind of dough compared to your normal pizza.
This is a must order if you are visiting and you are a pizza lover.
Flavours of this dish is amazing. The tender beef ribs give the sauce a really strong umami kick. The wide surface area of the pasta makes it easy for the sauce to give it a nice coating. My only small negative is that I find the pasta a tad bit undercooked for my liking as I think that it needed a little more time in the boil. Overall still a splendid dish in my opinion.
A well cooked salmon fillet on a bed of roasted cauliflower and hummus. Definitely a good place to have lunch with friends in the CBD area. The coffee here is really good and reminds me of the ones I had back in the days I was living in Australia.
My all time favourite carrot cake for only $3. Nice slight crisp eggy outer layer with a delicious interior filled with the cake and preserved radish bits.
The crispy layers of the phyllo pastry with chopped nuts, butter and cinnamon soaked in a sweet syrup is so good when paired with some coffee. Great food after a meal or for afternoon tea.
A new addition to their menu, the slipper lobster black bee hoon on promotion ($20) was delicious. The dish comes with 6 halves of the fresh chunks of slipper lobster combined with the powerful "wok hei" of the black squid ink bee hoon is sure to satisfy your tummy.
One of the best versions of grilled Octopus I have had yet. A must get when at this establishment, the umami of this tender and succulent piece of meat is amplified with the charred surface of the Octopus. A crowd pleaser that would satisfy one's tastebuds.
Thinly sliced slivers of 48 months aged Iberico Ham. The fat literally melts once it touches your tongue. To me it had a slightly nutty and buttery taste which paired splendidly with a glass of red wine.
I love this rendition of Patatas Bravas. The crispy layered potatoes with their signature spicy Bravas sauce and parsley aioli was delicious and pairs well with the other tapas dishes and the many selections of wine you can order.
I always come back for this when I visit Joyden. Mix up all the ingredients to get a light tasting Vermicelli that is very comforting to eat.
One of my all time favourite places for BakChorMee. The soup is very flavourful and leaves me always wanting to order another bowl. One of my go to stalls everytime I am in the area.
