Italian Illumination
The usual hangout for good rustic Italian fare. This establishment is really popular with in the neighbourhood.
The Orecchiette Pasta ($19) was perfectly al dante and had strong notes of saffron and pork. I liked that it was topped with what I believe to be crispy pork which added a much needed crunchy element to the dish.
I gotta say everything about this pizza is delicious. Break open the ball of burrata cheese and spread it over the entire pizza to fully enjoy it.
The standout to me is the pizza crust which was crispy on the outside but slightly fluffy on the inside. I feel they might have used a different kind of dough compared to your normal pizza.
This is a must order if you are visiting and you are a pizza lover.
Flavours of this dish is amazing. The tender beef ribs give the sauce a really strong umami kick. The wide surface area of the pasta makes it easy for the sauce to give it a nice coating. My only small negative is that I find the pasta a tad bit undercooked for my liking as I think that it needed a little more time in the boil. Overall still a splendid dish in my opinion.
The Fettuccine al Granchio ($29.90) was delicious. Pasta cooked perfectly al dente tossed with a creamy tomato crab meat sauce. I also like the friendliness of the service staff and the family run vibe of the establishment.
