I asked for "Xiao La" or least spicy, it had the right balance of heat. The numbing sensation from the sichuan peppercorn did not take away the flavours of the dish. Very tasty and well seasoned with every ingredient evenly coated with their sauce. I always skip the rice and add some noodles which absorb the sauces. The best thing about this stall is that they serve Xiang Guo at a very affordable pricepoint. Highly recommended!

The skin tends to be a little chewier and tough (something I am not used to) so it managed to hold the gravy. The garlic paste was strong and sometimes overpowered the sweet sauce. The filling lacked the crunch from the peanut and crackers. Overall - if you like a saucy, chewy, sweet Popiah, this is it.

We ordered half a roasted chicken. It was tasty, but felt the soy sauce dressing was a little too salty, overpowering the chicken. They also placed preserved vegetables on the side which is unique. Their ginger sauce was great. The rice was fragrant, but would have liked it with a bit more bite (personal preference).

Fresh ingredients. Ordered the Standard Nalu which came with 2 scoops of Poke (I picked the Mentaiko Salmon and Spicy Tuna). Well-seasoned and very tasty! The flying fish roe on top provided gave a nice crunch!

This is my third time visiting Dancing Crab, decided to skip the crab altogether. We went for their signature sauce (mild) for the Crawfish, and Zesty Garlic Butter for the clams and prawns.

The clams and prawns were a standout! Incredibly fresh and plump. The Zesty Garlic Butter was the star performer here, amazing flavours. The garlic was not overpowering, it had a beautiful balance of heat (from the sliced chilli) and flavour.

Conclusion - Go for the garlic butter, I would rate it higher than their signature sauce. It is superb.

This is... a savoury ice cream with a local twist. Coconut ice cream mixed with sambal chilli paste, and topped with crispy rice and ikan bilis (fried small anchovies).

All traces of coconut flavour in the ice cream was taken over by the sambal and the seafood funk of the ikan bilis. While the combination (in theory) pays homage to the classic local dish Nasi Lemak, it still feels incredibly foreign because it is ice cream?!

This isn't the prettiest of dishes, but it is one of the tastiest. And out of all of the fried carrot cake specialists across the hawker board in Singapore, this rates as one of the best. The blend of sweet black sauce, egg, preserved turnip (chai poh), garlic, fish sauce, and soft carrot cake pieces literally melts in your mouth.

They also have an option to add prawn and squid. But if you are a purist, go for the standard black sauce version. Eat it while it is hot, don't wait!

Located in the corner coffeeshop along sixth avenue, they serve up a really good fried chicken biryani. Extremely tasty and flavourful. The biryani rice has the right balance of moisture and the spice combination is wonderful. The fried chicken batter is so fresh and crunchy. It tastes as good as it looks. This is local biryani done well, check it out.

If you order their fried chicken biryani, ask for "extra crispy bits", and they will give you an extra helping of crispy batter. It is very good! Recommend pairing with a icy cold can of Coke/Sprite.

The tart (or is it a pie?) had a good amount of zest and citrus, and the filling was light and airy with a mousse-like consistency. The crust was soft and buttery, and crumbled upon contact with the fork. I recommend trying this. The lime rinds sprinkled on top was a nice touch. A pretty photogenic tart.

The Milky Way bottled cold crew was milky as expected, but very linear in taste. It lacked the coffee punch, but as the name suggests, it is meant to be a milky beverage. The dairy will take centre stage. SGD 7 is a little steep. I love the bottle design though!

The onsen egg and Foie Gras has a very rich creaminess, both of which meld very well with the rice. The Yakiniku (beef slices) had a charred flavour which was good, though I would have liked it more tender. For the price, you get excellent value. I would come back to eat this again.
