Went for lunch at Ikea, ordered the fried rice with chicken wings, 5 meatballs set, 1 sliced of almond cakes and 1 bowl of mushroom soup. Total price was $16. I would recommend trying the fried rice with chicken wings and the meatballs. The fried rice is very fragrant and the chicken wing compliments it perfectly. The meatballs is a must buy at Ikea, the mash potato that comes with the meatball has a very nice texture, there are still little chunks of potato which I like. Also, the jam totally enhance the flavour of the meatball and mash potato.

This was my first time visting this place. The ambiance of this place was pretty nice and have a very hip kind of feel. I ordered their promotional item which was their roast beef don The wait was relatively acceptable. When my food came, the presentation of the food was remarkable. The outside layer of the beef is cooked and the deeper you dive in the rarer it goes(if its too rare for your liking, you can use their grill to cook it to your liking). The beef was really really nice and it complemented well with the egg and sause they provided. I also ordered a plate of regular harami, the cut was relatively good and it had enough marbling. i grilled mine to med rare. The beef melted in my mouth completely, the marinade that they added on top was a very nice complement to the beef as it enhanced the beef's taste and texture. I would recommend coming to this place to try out.

As I wasn't sure which Stall sells the best satay, I just ordered from the nearest stall. It took a very long time for the satay to arrive, around 30mins or more. I have already finished all the other foods that I have ordered before the satay arrive. In my opinion, the satay was perfectly marinated, it also has the char taste which I really love. However, there are a few burnt parts. Adding to that, the satay sauce was horrible, it totally ruined the satay as a whole. The sauce was very watery, and tasted quite bland. I would not go back for this again because I was very disappointed with the satay sauce.

This was my first time coming back to chomp chomp since the reopening, the first store that i tried was their oyster omelette. As i saw many people ordering from that store, i also went ahead and got a plate of oyster omelette. I ordered the $5 one as i did not see anyone going for the bigger portions, maybe its because its not worth the upsize i guess. The wait was relatively long, which was kind of expected due to the amount of orders. I waited for around 20mins before my food arrvied. At first glance, the oyster omelette did not look that appetising, i took the first bite and it was just 'meh~' it did not taste that fantastic, in my opinion, the oyster omelette was a bit too bland and lack of taste. Personally i liked it to be a bit more crispy so that there was more texture. Maybe i was unlucky but i found egg shells in my oyster omelette, not just like 1 small bit, it was a big piece of egg shell. In my honest opinion don't get it from this store, i am pretty sure there are other better ones.

As chomp chomp was famous for their bbq stuff and also stingray, i too jumped onto the bandwagan and ordered myself a grilled stingray. To my surprise the wait was relatively short, i would say around 10mins or so and my grilled stingray was here. The first impression of the stingray was relatively pleasant. The charing of the stringray was perfect, there wasn't any burnt parts. It was very aromatic and i could not wait to dive into it. The fish was really tender and moist, and the reason why i liked it a lot is due to the char kind of taste(not burnt). The fish melted instantly in my mouth and all i wanted to do was to dive into it more! The sause that came with it though, i personally did not like it, as it was very strong and fishy. This grilled stingray has a relatively low spice level, which makes it suitable for kids. I can see myself coming back again to get the stingray, i highly recommend this place.

For 50 cents, you can get a vanilla ice cream that is soft and creamy. Also, the cone is very crispy and has a very nice taste to it. The hotdog bun costs $1. The chicken hotdog is very fragrant, it is still warm when served which makes it really irresistible. The bun however, was just average. If you are looking for a quick snack, you can buy these near the cashier at ikea.

I heard from my friends that lola's cafe is an awesome place to visit for brunch. So, i headed down to check it out myself. The place is quite a small place, so if you would want a good seat you would have to wait or come down early. The ambiance of the place feels very hip and pop, very suitable for dates. We ordered their famous ultimate croissant, lola's full work and honey paprika crispy wings. The wings were very nice and packed with flavours, they were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and they were cooked to perfection. As for the croissant, it was well baked, the egg was well seasoned, and the ham smoked nicely. Although the egg is nice, but it was a bit too oily for my liking. As for lola's full work, what you see is what you get. The bread was toasted nicely, the ham was the same as the croissant, the sausage was very nice, it has a lot of flavour in the stuffing. As for the egg that came with it, it was just a bit too oily as well and the white sause that came with it was a bit too strong till it broke the egg's taste. Overall i think the wings were good and the rest were just decent.

At the nasi briyani store at NYP south canteen, not only they sell their famous briyani but also prata. I ordered their egg prata which are usually made in the morning (so dont expect it to be super piping hot and extremely crispy )... moving on to the review. The egg prata had enough flavour, and it was well cooked, however the only complain is that it is cold in the middle. If it was served hot and crispy it would have been better. The curry though, saved the day for me as not only the curry packed enough heat it also elevated the taste of the egg prata. If you're looking for prata and you want it quick, head down to south! Otherwise i would recommend the prata at foogle canteen

Bought this fried rice and added potato as a side from the Malay stall that is famous for its cheap and good food. This meal costs $1.70 only. The fried rice is very fragrant and the spiciness is just right for me. The potato is irresistible, the sweet and spicy taste of it makes me can't stop eating it, you won't be able to stop with just one serving. Totally will buy this again.

Newly opened in north canteen at nanyang polytechnic, this Japanese store sells affordable dishes for those who are on a tight Budget. This tori teriyaki don, cost only $2.90. The set consists of a rice bowl and also a bowl of soup. Although the chicken is a bit tough, but overall, the rice bowl tasted that not bad.

港式小炒 #01-44- This hawker stall has been my all time favourite cantonese food. It has a simple menu of just 10 or so items. I usually order the sliced beef and 三蛋菜. This time i ordered another dish which was their bittergourd chicken. I highly recommend the sliced beef, it is cooked to perfection and has a lot of flavours in it. The 三蛋菜 is very nice as they are very generous with the eggs, and also the vegetable is very nicely stir fried. The bittergourd chicken was a let down though as the bittergourd and chicken felt like 2 sperate dishes on its own, personally i would have liked it more if they were 2 dishes as i felt that it was not a very good combination.
I also ordered kway chap from another stall which was just two stalls away. It was my first time trying the kway chap and i must say their food was really well prepared. Usually when i eat kway chap, some of the internal organs still has that powdery taste and texture which isn't very pleasant. However this stall does a good job in handling it. I would suggest to get their large and small intestines and pork belly. Great experience here, would defenitely come back for more kway chap and sliced beef!

I ordered their Takagi Ramen(Traditional Tonkotsu Pork Broth Noodle Soup). The broth was decent, although i would have prefered it to be more flavourful as the after taste was bland. The Tonkotsu was pretty decent, i personally liked it a lot as it had a very nice texture, it was soft and it melted in my mouth after the first bite. The noodles were average, i would have liked it more if the noodles were a bit more cooked, as it was a bit tough to chew on. This place also provides 1 time free refill on noodles if you weren't full on your first bowl. I also ordered their gyoza(choice of steamed and fried), it was too oily for my liking however the filling of the gyoza was pretty packed with flavour! Overall i would come back again but i would like to try something else on their menu.
